This game is definitely turning out to be among the freshest in terms of look, gameplay, and even story-wise within the NSMB series. I'm loving it.

However, there is something that bothers me so much. A ton of the music tracks from NSMB Wii are being played in all of the recent trailers and gameplay videos. It may be something minor, but I always liked the unique Mario themes. To get recycled ones for a game like this is extremely disappointing. Sad

^ That is true. Ever since the start of the series, the music was always just reused and there was never anything new. (I mean, maybe a song or 2 for extra menus or remixes of the old songs, but they were really nothing big anyway.) Then new music was shown for NSMBU which was cool, but the new remixed versions of old songs just shows kore disappointment.

I'm really looking forward to it. The only hope I have is that it's better than previous games which is a given of course. The baby yoshi's look awesome too! Razz

It is cool that Peach's castle changes over time.

I'm really liking the level design and the Toad House mini game looks enjoyable as well. It really does look like the freshest installment in the series as of yet.

However, the reused music still disappoints me so. Yes, the Baby Yoshis do change the pitch of the theme at times...however, the adventure doesn't feel too new if the same music for 2-3 games is being reused imo.

Indeed, that is true. Though, music isn't all a game has to offer. :p

^True, one could play a game without the soundtrack of course; however, the music does give a certain feel or mood to play a game. If one played Smash Bros. with soothing music, it wouldn't really fit now would it? Razz

I guess it's not too bad, but the same soundtracks do get tiring at times. I guess it just feels like wasted potential as this game could have really stood out more. Still, there is still plenty left in the game to be revealed so let's hope. Smile

    Yep, very true.

Also, there does appear to be at leastsome new music, so even if some is reused, there are still a few new tracks to listen to.

This game has been awarded 'Platformer of the Year' by IGN. I guess that must be a pretty good game then. :3
