This game was just announced for Wii U and 3DS. I was never really interested in these Pacman games, the only one I really ever played was Pacman itself. Just from seeing videos and trailers...they look boring anyway.

    Really?
    It looks so ridiculous.
I liked the original one better.
    Downloadable or retail?

It hasn't been announced yet, I don't think...likely it will be both. Razz I'm assuming it's a full game.

    But 3DS and Wii U?
I think it might be like the Olympics, different versions for each console.

Idk I kind of like how the game seemed to play. I'd probably get the 3DS version since it'd be cheaper then the Wii U version would be.. That and I'd probably wait to get it used any way. XD

    Wasn't this a TV series...?

I don't really like video games based on television series, this is no different.

Never really bothered with 3D pacman, always liked the arcade games more.

^ Well after googling it, apparently it was a cartoon. Apparently this game is actually supposed to be based off of it, therefore why the name is the same. I agree with you though, most games based off of TV shows and movies wind up being terrible. (although, not all do as I've seen...)

    It was?
That's probably why they're making this game.

Just a question, if this is Nintendo Franchises, why do we have a Namco Bandai game in it?
Rayman Legends was put in General Gaming and it on a Nintendo console.
    I'm confused...

Because it's a Nintendo exclusive game, it's only on Wii U and 3DS. I guess it doesn't exactly make sense to be in Nintendo Franchises now that I think about it, but it's still a Nintendo-exclusive game, so I put it in this board.

    Yeah, makes sense now.
    Rayman Legends isn't Nintendo-exclusive.
I see what you mean now.

    quote by PR email

SAN JOSE, Calif., (May 14, 2013) Leading video game
publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. is thrilled to
announce that Pac is back! PAC-MAN™ and the Ghostly Adventures will be
coming to North and Latin American retailers in fall 2013 for the Xbox
360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3
computer entertainment system, and Wii U™ system from Nintendo with an
exclusive side-scrolling version of the game coming to the Nintendo 3DS®
fall of 2013. Built upon the timeless and wildly successful PAC-MAN®
legacy, PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures will boast an entirely new
and exciting gaming adventure that is currently under development.

PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures follows the exciting storyline and
charming characters from the highly anticipated PAC-MAN and the Ghostly
Adventures animated series created and produced by Avi Arad, acclaimed
director and founder of Marvel Studios. The animated TV series, based on
NAMCO BANDAI Games’ classic PAC-MAN property, will begin airing on
Disney XD®. The game revolves around the vibrant universe of Pac-World,
where Pacworlders lived in peace until the mischievous Netherworld
ghosts, led by their wicked leader Betrayus, escaped from their ghoulish
domain to forcibly take control of Pac-World. Pac-World’s only hope
lies in the last surviving yellow Pacworlder, our hero with a voracious
    appetite.

Not only will PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures feature a revamped
PAC-MAN universe, but it will also hearken back to PAC-MAN origins with
classic elements such as Ghost encounters. The Ghost-chomping mechanics
return from the original PAC-MAN but with exciting powered up variations
in PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures, creating an innovative yet
    familiar gameplay experience.

“The PAC-MAN franchise has touched millions of gamers and non-gamers
since its humble beginnings more than 30 years ago,” said Carlson Choi,
Vice President of Marketing and Digital Sales at NAMCO BANDAI Games
America. “With its long-standing history, PAC-MAN and the Ghostly
Adventures emerges as a new and reimagined PAC-MAN universe that still
retains classic gameplay elements that will appeal to a whole new
    generation of gamers.”

This game does not look that great, However it could have been Pacmen Party 2.

It seems as though Namco Bandai’s Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will be released with a slightly lower price tag than other games on the market. North American retailers Amazon and Best Buy are currently listing the Wii U version at a budget $39.99, roughly £26/€30.69.

The title is to be based on the animated series storyline launching this summer, and will feature unique power-ups, multiplayer and maze modes for both co-operative and competitive play. So far, Amazon are detailing the release date for December 31, while Best Buy are looking at an October release, but both dates are unconfirmed by Namco Bandai. Remember to check out the trailer in the meantime to see if you fancy grabbing Pac-Man’s new adventure for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

    $40?
I seriously wonder who would spend $40 on this.
Well, maybe a dedicated Pac-Man fan...

Well it's a fairly low price, most Wii U games are $60. I myself wouldn't get it even if it was $1, but I can see why fans would, pretty low price really.

    Nor would I.
I have played Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Mania and Pac-Man Battle Royale while I was at DisneyQuest in December.
$40 I still think is a but much for this.
20-25 would be better and sell more.
