    More maintenance for Miiverse will be taking place tomorrow (Monday). This could be related to the Wii U update tomorrow, although we're still not sure whether it will be updated tomorrow or not.



    From Monday 30th September 2013 8am Pacific Time / 11:00am Eastern / 4pm UK time to Monday 30th September 5pm Pacific Time / 8pm Eastern / 1am 31st September UK.

    Affected Services:

    Wii U

    Online Play, Rankings, etc.

    Nintendo 3DS

    Online Play, Rankings, etc.

    My bet is that this update has something to do with bringing the miiverse to the 3DS. As I find it's a bit serendipitous that both the Wii U & 3DS are undergoing maintenance at the same time for the same reasons...

    Recent reports have been saying that the miverse update is not coming in October. Of course nothing is for sure until Nintendo conforms it.
    I also think they were both closed at the same time for maintanence before.

    Yeah, Wii U, 3DS, and even the Wii and DS have all had maintenance at the same time before, so this really isn't new.

    Of course nobody knows for sure it isn't because of Miiverse on 3DS, we can always hope. I'd assume Miiverse on the 3DS would be just like the smartphone version...
