Pikmin 2 had a longer game and more collectables, but I liked the feel of the first one more stranded and needing to rebuild the ship to survive and return home. Both games are good, but I did like the feel of Pikmin 1 more.

I've played Pikmin 2 since September of last year. 
But it was actually a bit disappointing to me considering I played Pikmin 3 first. I know, I shouldn't play them all in backwards order, but I can't change it now. The caves are okay, but I prefer exploring the world rather than going through the linear caves. It WOULD be nice if there were a cave editor so you could create your own. Then I'd love the caves.
