Do you prefer 2D or 3D games?

In general, do you prefer 3D or 2D games?

Personally, I prefer 3D game. There is much more that can be done with 3D games, as you can move in any direction, whereas with 2D games, you're more limited with what you can do. On the other hand, there are a few game series where I feel the 2D games are better, such as Metroid.

2d Final Fantasy & Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories ftw! Otherwise I enjoy 3d games as much as the next gamer out there. xp

It'd be 3D, I grew up with the Nintendo 64 as my main console, I had the Genesis but I was bad at it and just generally enjoyed the 3D gameplay style more from that point on.

It varies by game. But usually, I enjoy both 2D and 3D games.

3D grafx are more appealing to look at. Given how well it was made, that is.

And I do prefer 3D over 2D. I feel I can get a better experience playing VGs in 3D than 2D.

Truth be told, I kinda avoid 2D VGs nowadays... Hah. Hah. Doesn't mean I still will play games in 2D, of course.

I grew up with 2D gaming so I just naturally cling to it, especially with Sonic. Like when I played Generations, I kicked so much ass with Classic Sonic and highly enjoyed some Genesis nostalgia, but Modern Sonic's stages I found to be somewhat frustrating. Plus I hate BOOST2WIN.

Another instance: as much as I love Super Mario 64, it doesn't hold a candle to Super Mario Bros. 3.
