Animal Crossing: Wild World Playthrough

This is my Animal Crossing: Wild World playthrough. It is ended now, but feel free to enjoy the previous episodes.

Let's start this amazing game. I used an emulator, since taking a picture of my DS in Korean won't work for this let's play.

Part 1: Tom Nook makes us sad!


This is how I look.


And my town's name is Vanilla. It kinda fits with this generic town.


However, Tom Nook makes us slaves work dilligently to gain money! I hate him.   

I met three new villagers while I was doing Nook's slavework dilligent work.


Meet Rod. This mouse likes to call others 'Ace', and he likes catching bugs as well.


Meet Tortimer. He is the mayor of the whole series! (Except for New Leaf)


Meet Yuka. Though she can be snotty, she says a lot of apporpriate things. Like this.
There's also Puddles, but I forgot to screenshot her.    


But Tom Nook doesn't always give us fetch work. He sometimes give fun and awesome chores like sending a letter, like this.


I also like this bulletin board quest. Slavework Dilligent Work wasn't always bad!


And we're now free!! We're free! Yeah!   
Disclaimer: I actually like Tom Nook.


However, since I forgot that resetting this game is illegal, I met Resetti! (I didn't reset after I did Tom Nook's works, I resetted after I tried to load the game for the 1st time. )


We now try hard to pay off the mortgage. Selling peaches are fun.


I also used this chance to buy the shovel and the fishing rod. I am really bad at fishing, by the way.


Rod also wants to be my penpal. Maybe he looked at Puddles' letter and thought my letter writing skills are nice.


We also find out tomorrow is Yay Day! Yay!!

Cool. It's so weird seeing Wild World when I'm so used to New Leaf now, lol. And to answer the question of the day, my favorite villager is Cookie, although I also like Stitches a lot.

@Zero: I do really want to play New Leaf.
And what I meant by 'answering the question in this post' is answering both questions from this play-through and the life log.  Sorry if you didn't understand.

I would say why do you charge so much for everything.

Oh. Well, I can't really answer the other one, because I never played Wild World. So I never wrote anything on the bulletin board for Tom Nook.

Part 2: "You're being sarcastic, aren't you?"

Today's Yay Day! The townsfolk and I will give compliments to each other.


Yuka thinks I look so nice today. That's good.


I told Yuka that she's logical. It's because she figured out that Tom Nook can be very cruel.


Rod thinks I'm beefier than a sumo wrestler. I'll take that as a praise.


And I told Rod that he's active. He's personality is jock, so why not?


We also meet a new townsfolk, Drake. He is apparently not good at waking up.


Puddles think I look like a movie star. Well, that's a nice praise!


I told Puddles that she's kind. Well, she looks pretty kind for me.


Later that day, Rod makes me guess how much he did weight training.
I guessed that Rod just did the medium amount.


I was wrong.


I also went to the observatory and made a constellation. This is known as the 'Heart' star.


Now Yuka thinks I'm sarcastic! Wait, what?


Puddles is going to tell us the relationship of Rod and Drake. Nice.


Wait, what? Puddles, you're not kind anymore. You tricked me.


The next morning, I got this letter from my mom. Wonderful.


Puddles and Yuka were talking about Junk Foods. Apparently Puddles likes them, and Yuka hates them. I said that they are tasty.


And now Puddles hate Junk Foods, because of this reason. What?


But I paid all of my mortage. That's nice.


And Tom Nook will remodel my house. I hope he doesn't mess it up.

You know, even though there are over 400 Animal Crossing villagers, Yuka randomly camped out in my town today in New Leaf, of all villagers. XD

Some of those conversations are funny. None of my villagers have ever said I'm sarcastic. Although, I'm not sure Yay Day even exists in New Leaf, and I don't remember it from the original...

@Zero: Yes, Yay Day is exclusive to Wild World.
But WW doesn't have Toy Day and Halloween.

None of my villagers have called me sarcastic in New Leaf.

Part 3: The Real Start


The next morning, Rod challenges me to catch a mosquito first. We won't see this happening now, since Mosquitoes aren't around daytime.


I also start fishing and bug-catching. I'm decent at the latter, but I am terrible at fishing. It is pretty much a miracle that I even caught a sea bass here.


Meet Roscoe the new villager. He is a cranky horse, and his hobby is digging fossils.


Puddles wanted me to give a new catchphrase to her. Apparently I had nothing in my mind, so I made her say 'Howdy'. Yeah, it could be better..


Rod thinks that we left something in his house. What is it?


Apparently it's not mine, but still thanks, Rod.


We also find out that there's going to be a firework show at Saturday 7:00 PM. Nice.


At night, Puddles apparently saw a coakroach. I wonder how somebody can think up 'Great Galloping Peanuts' as an expression.   


And I catched a mosquito. Now let's show it to Rod!


Rod gave us a cabin wall in exchange of a mosquito. Mosquitoes were pretty easy to catch for me, so losing one mosquito wasn't really a problem.


I also drink coffee at The Roost. I have been doing that for 3 days, I just didn't screenshot it.


Also, the fortune-telling tent opened outside the town hall today. I decided to check out the chemistry between Soul (Yeah, that's me), and Nessness. (That's also me )


Apparently, Katrina thinks we have nothing but Selfishness, Rashness, and Irresponsiblity.. what?


Since I will be buying/designing clothes later, I decided to buy a wardrobe in advance. Handy.


After buying a wardrobe, Nook's Cranny got enough money that his store will get upgraded into a bigger store.   


Drake also asked me which do I think is his best side. I just chose left, because I somehow prefer left than right.


Oh.

The next morning...

Tom Nook's kinder eviler version, Crazy Redd appeared today.
He sells pictures, but some of them are fake and they are pretty expensive. So, I won't be buying them for now.


We have another new villager, Aurora the Penguin! She likes yogurt parfaits.


I also sent Rod and Yuka some mails. They get presents as well! Rod gets that dragon suit, and Yuka gets a concrete wall that I bought sometime.


Drake is going to tell me the secret of Tom Nook! What can it be?


I suppose 'that kind of thing' is Tom Nook's mortgages. Pure Evil.


Yuka gives me an nickname! What can it be? Sarcastic Soul?


Divine S, or Divine Soul! It's pretty good, though I'm surprised that Yuka didn't name me Sarcastic S.


I also visited Able Sisters and bought a yellow cap. I'm not going to make designs yet, because I have more important things to do.

Also, Yuka and Roscoe finally met each other. This isn't going to be good..




Just as I expected.


Drake introduces us to his manly area.


Yeah, planting flowers can be fun in an Animal Crossing game!


Drake also gets a letter from somebody!


Wait, what? Who could it be? I'm guessing Puddles, because Yuka is snooty and Aurora is currently packing.


Roscoe also thinks I'm like a snail. Wait, what?


I don't know if it's a praise or an insult, but I'll take it as a praise. Yay.


Rod also bought a robust cicada from me for some bells. Such nice friendship!

Part 4: "120000 Bells!"


That night, Rod sent a reply of my letter and also gave me a furniture present.


We also meet Phyllis at the Roost. Of course, she hates everybody. But she's kinder than Tom Nook.

The next morning..


Nook opened Nook 'n Go today! In the other games, this store opened longer than the others.
But since all the Wild World shops open at 8 and close at 11, there's no time merit here.


We also gain a lot of money by selling the butterflies I caught yesterday. Yay.


There's another new villager! Meet Deena. Now, there are two ducks in my village.


Yes Tom Nook. I highly thank you for expanding my house. Now leave me alone.


Here we go again!!   


I also bought a watering can. This could make the town much prettier.


We also get a reply from Yuka as well. She gave me a bamboo wall as a present.


And we get to know that Rod's pretty stupid. He asked for the Robust Cicada which he got from me yesterday.

You liked Drake so much that you sent a letter on the day you moved!!


Of course, Drake didn't recognize that Aurora was liking him.
He is currently feeling very good, though.


I am curious what will happen to Drake and Aurora. Like me instead


Wait... Drake actually thought Aurora likes her, so he asks me the relationship of Rod and Aurora!
Love Romance is forming in Vanilla Town! I'm not involved!
Of course, I answered 'Just Friends'.


I might be wrong, though. If Drake really liked Aurora, he would be relieved, instead of having a reaction like this.
Why am I thinking so seriously in Animal Crossing anyway?


Yuka is currently sick, though. Since everybody likes Yuka, I quickly got a medicine for her.


Yuka is the best.   


I also sent letters to Drake and Puddles. Hope I could get some nice presents from them.
