Have you ever bought games for consoles you don't own?

Have you ever bought a game for a console you didn't/don't own? (yet) It could be for many reasons, maybe the console was sold out, but you wanted to have a game to play when it was available or something like that.

I've never bought any. However, I do own 2 or 3 games for the original PlayStation, and I don't own one. It's because my cousin gave me a few of her old games for it, I never got a PlayStation at the time it was available, but she had one that she sold and just gave me the games.

Nope, though I did have a PS1 before I bought the system though.

No, that thought never occurred to me. I'd rather wait for the system to be restocked and get the game and console together or game later, rather than get a game that I can't do anything with.

Actually yea I did but ended up getting the console for it anyway. I bought Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice for the PS3 LONG before I bought my PS3 console. xp
