Do you enjoy boating or riding on boats? (cruise ships, etc. can count too I suppose)

While I don't do it anymore, I actually used to kayak sometimes in the summer. I think it's pretty fun to kayak, although I never got that good at it, so I only did it in really calm waters. Although honestly, otherwise, just riding in a boat isn't enjoyable to me at all, and I would likely get seasick on a cruise.

It's OK. I haven't been on one for ages, though.

I've ridden in one of those paddle boat things & it was ok. I've never ridden in any other kind of boat though & tbh I don't care to I get queasy easy so I'm sure I'd get sea sick pretty quick like. xp

When I was younger I did paddle boating with my sisters, and it really wasn't that good, but driving boats and kayaking is a lot more enjoyable.

    Ferries are fine with me.

I've never really been on a boat for too long, so I really can't give an opinion in travelling on a boat for long distances.

I love boats. I've been on a cruise ship once, it was great except for all the drunk people. Ferries are nice too, every time I visit my grandparents we take a ferry to one of the various island there. Paddle boats are nice as well, but it's been a few years since I last used one. I guess I'm used to boats even in bad weather, I've never been seasick.

^ So you actually enjoyed the cruise? I've always heard bad things about cruises. What was it like?

I guess it might depend on where and which country it is in too. I was lucky with the weather, it was October but both warm and sunny. It probably would have been worse if I had been raining (I like rain, but it might have been annoying if you want to be on deck all the time). Most people on the boat were only there to shop in the stores on the boat and buy alcohol, so I guess that's a bad thing. I enjoyed the scenery a lot, just looking at the sea was fun enough (especially for someone like me who haven't seen much of the country).
I guess it mostly depends on what you want from a cruise. For those who like shopping and drinking, it's probably good. For those who love the sea and want to see places they've never seen before, it's also good. For those who don't like any of them, maybe not.

What bad things have you heard about cruises?

^ Just that they can become boring and that there's not much to do. I get that the whole point is to relax on the ship by the ocean, but spending days on it without there being much on the cruise ship to do other than sit there, eat, and shop as you said, it just doesn't seem very exciting and not something really worth money either. Although I have seen some cruise ships that look like a portable amusement park. XD
