Personally I can live with May's new ribbon style, but I don't really like the new Brendan. The original Brendan looked much better imo.

I actually like the new designs better than the originals. The artwork itself is pretty similar anyway, they didn't change much other than upgrading the quality really, and a few small tweaks.

I don't like how Brandon looks either tbh.. I can stand May but she just looks the way she did in the anime impo. ^^;

I guess Brendan looks a little odd but I could get used to it pretty easily, and May looks pretty close to the same.

I kinda didn't! I mean, they're not bad designs but... but I just feel like they didn't capture enough of the same feel the original had, unlike the designs from FR/LG or HG/SS (Lyra and Leaf excluded).
But I am pretty bias as I absolutely ADORE the original May design...

I liked the older designs much better, the new ones aren't appealing at all to me. Especially not Brendan, May is mostly fine except for the new ribbon and hair design.
