The Anything Thread (4)

I had rehearsal for about 8 hours today. x_x We finally finished building the set, and we have all the props and costumes ready! (pretty much :p) Our first performance is tomorrow, although, it's for kids and they aren't paying. >_> Our first 'real' one is Friday night. I'm so tired, but I guess we really needed all the time we could get before our first performance. I'm pretty excited, although my throat has been hurting, so I hope I don't end up barely being able to talk or something. That wouldn't be good.

Yoshi's Amiibo looks to be one of the better ones at least. I'm planning to get a Villager one myself.

In mother Russia you don't go to the play you are the play. j/k =p Welp I've been in a slump since the death of a loved one & I just haven't been able to bounce back from it. Usually anime can inspire me; but not even some of the normal anime I tend to enjoy has been helping. o.O; Ugh... >.< I need inspiration.............. D:

Well, at least the other people attending will be paying, anyway. They were just kids I suppose.

We did the performance for those kids today, and I'm honestly surprised at how excited they were. There are a lot of animals in the play, and they were laughing and shouting a lot of the time, which was funny. I think they probably didn't understand some of the other parts of the play without animals, but overall they did like it. We got to go out in the audience afterwards so the kids could high five us and stuff like that. XD It was fun, but it did still kind of feel like another rehearsal just with an audience of 820 kids. We still had a few things to finish with the set and whatnot. Now we're ready to go, and our opening night is tomorrow!

How young were those kids?

^ Elementary school, I think there were up to 4th or 5th graders there. So, pretty young kids. It's not a very complex play or inappropriate at all, and we thought they'd like the animals, hence why we decided it would be a cool idea to do a performance for kids.

Ah youth, so innocent. Until they get older & turn into trolls. xp

I mean animals, that's kind of babying them a bit, when I was in Grade 5 I watched PG-13 movies.

^ There were a few younger ones too, but I don't know, they all really seemed to enjoy it. Most of them are under 10 years old, right? I'd say that's still pretty young. But I guess that's just me.

Anybody have any plans for the weekend? I just have our performances, today is opening night for the play, and we're doing one Saturday and Sunday. My throat has been hurting a bit too, so I'll probably just sleep and drink some of the tea I have to help it when I'm not doing the play.

I mean animal plays works with first and second graders, I'm just saying it Grade 4 or 5, at least in Canada, it's a bit much.

I have plans to do some Christmas shopping over the weekend & then I'll be helping my mom to wrap all of her presents to everyone. Yey me & all that jazz. xp

I have no idea if I'll ever be able to use my Samus amiibo in any game since I have 0 plans to buy either Brawl title; but she sure looks awesome on the shelf next to my Skylanders. xp

Today was opening night for our play as I said before, and we did SO WELL. It turned out really good, and everybody did a fantastic job! (and we did a 'meet and greet' thing after the play, and a surprising amount of people came up to me saying I was fantastic, so that's good!) I'm really tired, but it was so great. Most of the audience were older (as in, adults and not 10 year olds XD) We had a pretty good amount of people show up. We still have 2 more performances this weekend though.

So I had a really long day, I think I'll just sleep until tomorrow night. XD

Nice, and I'm sure the Samus Amiibo will be used for something in the future. I know you like Metroid so if it's used in a new Metroid game in the future, you'd have use for it. ^^

Yeah that kind of annoys me too, I hate it when people say Brawl, even though that was the third game in the series, and the new games don't even have it in the title. I just don't get the confusion, but eh, Queen doesn't play Smash. :p
