Here's some more details on the game:
- picks up right where the original game leaves off
- Max learns about the location of the original meteor impact site
- Mutant Mudds are still originating from it
- Max then sets off to find and destroy the meteor
- entirely new game with 40 new levels, spread across five worlds
- no difficulty curve, as these are the toughest stages
- secret pathways can be located by walking behind walls
- this is indicated with a small porthole somewhere to reveal that pick-ups are hidden inside
- new level art themes
- new chiptune music from composer Troupe Gammage
- due out in the next few months
Seems more like just new levels or an expansion to the first Mutant Mudds than a sequel, but Renegade Kid actually did confirm a Mutant Mudds 2 is in development that will be a full-on sequel awhile back.
