Most Overrated Music

-ALL music from Frozen. I like then movie but the music was pretty meh.
-ALL music sung by Justin Bieber. I won't express why, just hear it for yourself.
-MOST rap music. Do they really have to swear every phrase? There are some exceptions but still...
-All I want for Christmas is you. I'm sick of listening to this song in the Christmas season.

I'm not sure I'd really describe Justin Bieber's music as "overrated": in order for it to be "overrated", it would have to be rated highly in the first place. However, the discussion I have seen of his music (especially Baby) has been universally negative. I get that he has a lot of fans, but they're only there because they think he's a cute guy, not because they think he's a talented musician. (At least, this was as of 2010; these days, he just makes generic pop music that doesn't seem to get much attention at all)

It's a similar story with Gangnam Style and Harlem Shake. Nobody cares about the music itself; they only care about the silly dances associated with them. (Or, rather, 'cared': most people seem to hate Gangnam Style now because it was so overplayed, and Harlem Shake hasn't been receiving any attention at all for well over a year now)

Anyway, back on-topic: I've never understood why so many people in my age group think Nirvana are/were so special. I've listened to some of their music, and it isn't bad at all - but I don't understand what people see in it that causes them to rate it so highly?

^ Yeah I'd agree with that last bit, I do enjoy some of Nirvana's music, but I don't get what's so amazing or revolutionary about it.

For me, basically ALL mainstream pop or hip-hop music that seems to be constantly playing everywhere. Almost all of it is incredibly annoying to listen to. Although I have to say I heard one of Meghan Trainor's songs a few days ago that I thought was really catchy.
