The playthrough will be on hold for a while longer, my SD card somehow removed most of the images, so I lost all screenshots I hadn't uploaded. I'll skip the gameplay for chapter 2 and upload the intro and beginning cutscenes, chapter 3 should be better though. Sorry about that.

Sorry this took so long, I've been lazy, completely addicted to other games (read; Skyrim) and most of the screenshots disappearing discouraged me. This chapter ended up fairly short because of that so you're spared from my lame puns, but most of the important story parts are still in.
- Chapter 2: The Story Untold:
We have a setting, an event and a battleground. All we need for a Fire Emblem chapter!
Confusion? Anything but that!
A foreboding title with a not as foreboding castle in the background.
Wyvern Rider Milady venting on Ruud. She's not too happy about her Princess disappering.
A lame excuse from the Ruud (his name was Rude in some older translations) triggers this act of rage. Not that I blame her.
Milady complains about how they can't focus on preparing to attack Lycia if their princess is missing. Also some threats to make sure Ruud finds her as soon as possible. Again, I don't blame her.
Milady flies off, and Ruud starts talking to a guard. Obviously, he has kidnapped the princess and locked her into the cellar. Sounds familiar? The soldier isn't too happy about this. Maybe he's genre savy.
The princess is the brother of the King of Bern (obviously), so Ruud thinks it's a great idea. Those who have played Fire Emblem probably have an idea of what this is about.
Power, religion and gold. Makes sense.
But of course, there has to be a hitch. Of course, Ruud orders his soldiers to find her.
Meanwhile, Roy and company has arrived to the place where they're supposed to meet the mercenaries, who haven't arrived yet. Suddenly someone appears.
A girl appears, bumps into Roy and ends up asking him if he's from Lycia. Roy brags about being Eliwood's kid.EllenElen introduces herself and asks Roy to rescue her mistress. And we have no idea who that could be, right?- Spoiler:
- It's in the chapter title.
Merlinus objectsI'm sorry. Roy does some talking too.
Fortunately, the enemy orders an attack on Elen. That means we have an excuse to fight! Not that you need one in Fire Emblem, anyway. Merlinus approves.
Nuns and warfare DO NOT mix!How many times has these exact lines been said? One more time now, at least. Not that I mind, it's nice to have a healer around.
This is where the chapter gameplay would have been, but it was wiped, pretend like I'm wrecking stuff left and right.
This is where I left last time, right before seizing the castle. A quick summary of what has happened:
Quite a few new characters joined in this chapter, including Merlinus, the healer Elen and the mercenary squard led byOgma 2.0Deke. Merlinus can be used as storage/portable convoy, like in FE7 except that he doesn't start out with a tent. Elen is a very frail healer with an insane luck growth. Deke is a solid mercenary with fairly balanced stats. Wade and Lot are the typical Axe Fighter duo and Shanna is the usual earlygame Pegasus Knight. All of them except Deke and maybe Shanna will end up on the bench, unless someone wants me to use any of them.
Roy has a C support with both Lance and Allen, Lance and Allen have a C support with each other.
The boss is also pretty dead.
Anyway, Roy goes to seize the castle.
Merlinus informs us that there's a woman locked in the cellar, and Roy asks him to bring her to him. She's obviously Elen's mistress. She and Elen talks a bit about how Elen rushed away like she did to save her, she asks Roy for his name and he introduces himself. Nothing too special. Then it's her turn to introduce herself.
Elen objects (and kind of spoils the reveal) but the mistress insists.
Gasp, surprise! But not really. It was in the chapter title, after all. Those who have played Fire Emblem may recognize her, or at least her name from the Bern arc.
Paranoid Merlinus is paranoid, and gentleman Roy is gentleman.
Guinivere, being the kind and selfless princess she is, wants to end the war in a peaceful way. Despite being the King's sister, she is opposed to the war. Roy kind of wants to help her, and allows her to accompany his army so they can meet with Lycia's armies. Guinivere thanks him.
So ends chapter 2, I promise the next chapter will be up fairly soon and include the gameplay too.

Oh awesome, I didn't think you'd continue playing considering how long it took. But it's nice to see it back! I'll read through it shortly.

I'm glad that you can continue this playthrough, and I like this style of walkthrough much more than the style you used on part 1. Keep it up!

I'm a horrible person for being too lazy to update this. Uploading screenshots is easily the worst part, but here the first part of chapter 3 is. I wrote the commentaries that long ago, so it's not really top-quality.
- Chapter 3: Bad Stuff Happens:
Chapter 3 begins, and the title really isn't a good sign.
Our next destination is this castle, which has a familiar name.
... But a messenger brings bad news. Do they ever bring good news?
Bern's Wyvern Generals, named so because their "prowess in combat is as the wyverns", are getting involved. Unlike what one'd think, not all of them ride Wyverns. Also they wrecked our army, basically.
Do our soldiers even have morale? Some of them are so bland, I wonder if they're actually machines. Anyway, onward to the mission.
The first time I played this game (in japanese) and read this chapter title, I knew it would be bad.
Bad guys be talking. To the left is Brunja, one of the Wyvern Generals, and to the right, Zephiel, King of Bern and Guinevere's (half-)brother. The obvious response to Brunja's question is "bring him to me".
That beard would make anyNordfantasy viking proud, Hector. Zephiel also gives us a great first impression.
Also, "ost" means "cheese" (or "east") in Swedish. I can't take Ostia seriously.
Zephiel reveals some of his motives.
Not sure why you'd bother throwing a dead man in the dungeon. Well, he isn't dead, but still.
Even Brunja distrusts the "creepy woman" Zephiel keeps by his side. With a very familiar name to some. But she's not all that creepy. Still, Zephiel tells Brunja off and she leaves.
Back on the heroes's side, we see Roy chatting with Chad, a thief. Roy wants him to stay behind too, but he's having none of that, and we get out first thief on our team. Not that I like thieves much.
Guinevere aplogizes again for her brother. Roy tells her not to blame herself, because if they can just get Hector back, they'll all be saved. I don't remember him being all that great, really, especially not at leading armies.
The chapter starts, and here's a look around the map. There's a village north of our starting position, a covered boss room to the northwest, a treasure room and another village to the east. Good thing we got a thief, and here's a look at his stats. I'm not going to use him much, except for, well, thieving. Thieves can't promote in this game, btw.
Turn one is nothing special. I send some unarmed units, Shanna and Chad up north to the village, while the rest assault the castle entrance.
A kid named Lugh is shown speaking to a priest, who is taking care of some orphans. He talks a bit to them, saying he's staying behind to take care of some things and wait for Chad. He also mentions some Raigh guy. The priest and the kids leave the map, from the north village. And that enemy arches does nothing.
The first enemy phase was fairly simple, everyone avoided damage except Roy who tookan arrow in the knee5 points of damage from an Archer. Shanna gets a pretty boring level up. So did Allen, but I didn't screenshot.
I'll continue with the gameplay next time, which hopefully is sometime soon.

I'm not sure how relevant this still is, but due to files being lost, me getting a new phone and generally being busy or distracted by other things, it's been a while since the last update. If there's still any interest in me continuing, I'll try and get everything working again, else I'll probably end the playthrough here and now. I'd appreciate any replies, just to know if I should go on.
