Here's the new Animal Crossing spin-off game revealed for Nintendo 3DS in the Direct:

It looks...uh, interesting. And it's cool that it's getting it's own Amiibo line. But I'm not really considering buying it, it would be kind of boring compared to the full on Animal Crossing games.

I feel like this is kind of more of a test for the amiibo cards, and later in an Animal Crossing for Wii U there'd be more to them with it, because this is pretty bare in itself.

I will likely pass on the since it looks it would get old fast. The amiibo cards are cool though and I hope we see a regular Animal Crossing for Wii U at E3.

So is there anyone that's actually even slightly interested in this? Razz I know I'm not at all, and I LOVE Animal Crossing...

I thought it looked cute at first & really wanted to get it after the game was announced; but over time I realized that without the town aspect of the game I'd get bored of it pretty quickly. XD

Here's a new trailer and a look at the bundle.

I don't know why anyone would buy the game or bundle since the game is very basic and there's not much to do.

^ There must be something more to the game, as it's apparently a full price game in Japan. >_> I hope they show us what more there is, because as of now it looks like a very small eShop game.

Here is a new trailer and it looks like there's a bit more you can do.

It looks good though $40 is still a little high.

Looking a lot better and much more fleshed out now! Although yeah I do agree full price is still a bit much. Certainly better than the Wii U game though.

I want it now since seeing that a whole town is available for me to be able to design & being able to place houses where I want omg; this looks so much better then it did before.

Here's a few more details on Happy Home Designer:

    - work alongside Tom Nook to help build homes for the villagers
    - a Kangaroo villager like Carrie might show up with her joey and say that she wants a house that will be good for her child
    - this means you'll have to make something playful and maybe add a little park in the front yard
    - some villagers will request a polka-dot theme
    - other facilities will open in town as you progress
    - help design schools, a hotel, convenient store, flower store, an office, restaurant, concert hall, hospital, regular shop, department store, and more
    - get to visit your creations and meet the villagers hanging out in the area

Wow, there's a lot more places to design than I thought there would be at first. I figured it'd just be homes until we saw the E3 trailer, and even then I didn't think there would be so many as said now. (plus a lot more than those mentioned) Definitely excited for this game.

It's great that there's more to it than what it originally appeared to be before E3. So when it says you can design hospitals, schools and more, does it mean the actual buildings or just houses with that kind of furniture like the other Animal Crossing games? Either way they probably look good. I might end up buying this eventually, looks fun.

Well, they've shown you can design the outsides of the places too, so it would be cool if you could change how the building itself looks. They haven't confirmed that can happen though. I like the idea.

Hey does anyone know if a release date or window was ever given for Happy Home Designer in NA? I remember there being one given at E3, but I can't seem to figure it out.
