by So fair Mario Kart 8 has had 2 DLC packs that came with 8 new tracks each. I believe there done with tracks and will now focus on small things such as battle mode and maybe having some of the Double Dash items return to make Baby Park more fun.

I definitely think there will be some smaller-scale DLC in the future, it could possibly come in the form of free updates like 200cc, or be like $2-3 each.
I'm thinking there would be a new mode like Double Dash mode, or they could finally add the battle arenas for battle mode. (seriously, people have been requesting this for the longest time) Otherwise, I'm not quite sure what they would add. There's quite a few tracks, so I wouldn't think they'd add more at this point. But at the same time, I'd love if they did.
