I would see a mini Nintendo Direct since most of the info about Splatoon has been shown through the updates. I also find it strange how they made the statement a week before this time.

Okay, the fact that there is a Splatoon Direct coming means there's definitely some unrevealed content. When there's a Direct, there's always new reveals. I'm hoping they'll show more Ranked Battle modes, maybe a local mode just because Luma would want that.

It was mostly things we know and there where a ton of letdowns such as the online teams being random, only 2 stages can be selected at set times of the day and the set time demo.

I feel that this direct was more focused on attracting more customers to buy the game, since we already knew practically all the info we got.
