Does anyone plan on playing at any of the set demo times? I will likely play the Friday night time and maybe the Saturday afternoon time if nothing comes up.

Yeah I'm going to try to play tomorrow night, but I do have a lot of things to do...I'm just hoping I don't miss it, I really want to play it.

Re: Global Testfire
Here are my notes from the demo.
I got an error code at the start
My Inkling setup was Male with white skin and blue eyes
I played 12 matches and the controls stage
No lag in any stage
2 stages
4,weapons
You get gear for the demo if you pre pay that's only good for the demo
The mini-games can be played while waiting for your match
This game is much better then I thought it would be. My only issue is that the online will die out fast with only 6 stages and some weapons are miles better such as the Ink Roller.

Re: Global Testfire
I loved it! It was so much fun to play, and I'm now not too worried about it getting old fast...or I wasn't, until I read your post saying 6 stages. >_> Are you certain that's it? ONLY 6?! That's such a small number...I was hoping for like 25-ish...I hope you're wrong. I don't think they showed off all of the stages. I'm glad they're adding more DLC stages at least.

Re: Global Testfire
Meh, I wasn't that impressed myself. But I'm also not much of a shooter fan either. That & after the third time I tried to go in for another round but I kept getting error messages; such as 'couldn't connect to leader's team' or I'd get a general 106 error code. I gave up after that. I might try playing again around 12 pm pst(3 pm est) today; but maybe not. It all depends on how things go today. XD

No Zero, Gameguy is right.
That's how many it starts with.
They'll add more at later dates.
I'm playing at 3 PM EST today.

Re: Global Testfire
That was the most fun I've ever had since Super Mario Sunshine!
That will be my favourite Wii U game.
Even though it was only 2 stages and 4 weapons for the Testfire, it was so fun!
May 29th come!
Zero, Gameguy, thank you for convincing me about this game!
Loved it.

Re: Global Testfire
^ YESSS!!! I never thought I'd see the day where you'd say Splatoon was the most fun he's had on Wii U, even just a few months back. So glad you've enjoyed it. It's a good thing I finally convinced you to try it out, because if you weren't interested at all, you wouldn't have even tried out the demo.
I actually feel the same way. I know I've been hyping the game up a LOT ever since it's announcement (and I mean a LOT) but you really can't appreciate it fully until actually playing it, I feel. It's definitely more fun that way, it's not quite as much when just watching footage. I'm disappointed with the amount of stages available day one, but I definitely love the game.
@Queen
I'm sorry you felt that way, but I didn't really think it was your kind of game anyway. XD However...I do feel like you'd need to play it a bit more to decide for sure you don't like it. And (at least imo) it isn't really a "shooter" as you say. It's more just an action game. I mean, a lot of the weapons aren't even guns.

Re: Global Testfire
It seems the Testfire event is really doing wonders for Splatoon preorders, at least on Amazon. While before Splatoon was fairly low on Amazon's game sales charts, it seems to have gone up to the top 10 in many regions, including #1 of all games on Amazon Spain. Source
I'm so glad Splatoon is selling well already, I'm hoping for 1mil+ sales by the end of the year, hopefully much more than that too!

Re: Global Testfire
Well a lot of the way the game seemed to play for me just wasn't something I liked. I did not like the gyro scoping of the camera with the gamepad; and I didn't find out how to turn it off until after it was all over on Friday. <.<' I would have liked to have given it another try but I kinda missed out on the second test fire; but at least I have Friday's experience. Maybe if there is a full on demo for me to try out then I'll give it another shot.Winters Thief Zero wrote:@Queen: I'm sorry you felt that way, but I didn't really think it was your kind of game anyway. Maybe but I could argue with you that some of the weapons you can use can essentially explode your character; so impo I see it as a shooter even if the weapons aren't technically guns. If the characters didn't explode & return to home base then I could say your right.. But they do; so it's a shooter in my book & I calls 'em as I see's em. ;3Zero-sama wrote: And (at least imo) it isn't really a "shooter" as you say. It's more just an action game. Re: Global Testfire
I can't wait!
Well actually, I can, since I have a 3-day weekend, and don't have anything happening until Tuesday, but then I can't wait!
Too bad it's only the same 2 stage again...
They should've done one this week, and next week.
But, the game is coming soon!
