Freedom Planet

Freedom Planet is available on PC and Mac, and is coming to Wii U this summer.

The guy who created it, actually started it off as a Sonic fangame.
He had a demo, and was told it was so good, he should make his own IP.
He then found a Chinese artist on DeviantART and asked permission to use her characters, which he did.

Really interesting story behind all of this, looks a lot like a Classic Sonic game.
I'll try the free demo this weekend.

I'm probably going to play the Wii U demo, the game looks cool. Definitely reminds me of classic Sonic games, and I'm sure that's what they're were going for.

Oh god.. Why'd you have to show me this Sonic clone? Now I have to download the demo & play it. D: XD

Oh by the way, I tried the demo a couple weeks ago for the Wii U version, to me it feels like classic Sonic but way better. I actually plan to get the game, I'll be waiting for the Wii U version though. ^^

The Wii U version of Freedom Planet releases August 3rd!

It's great it's coming so soon, but I'll have to see if I have enough money at the time to get it near launch.

I'll get it eventually.
I get the discount from the Nindies @ E3 thing.

Depending on how much it is, I'll probably be able to get this game at launch when it hits the eshop. :3
