Splatfest

As the official Splatoon tumblr page says:
Unfortunately, a matchmaking issue was discovered in the first Japanese Splatfest that resulted in long wait times and players unable to join matches. We have been working on a solution but will need a little more time to resolve the issue. In order to ensure that fans have the best possible experience and can enjoy the fun they’ve come to expect from Splatoon, we have decided to postpone the first North American Splatfest. We’ll have details on a new date soon!

I'm kinda upset about this, but I do understand why they had to postpone it. What do you guys think?

Well, hopefully it's for a good reason.

I guess one of the sides became one sided. I'm fine with it being delayed though since I won't not have much free time this weekend anyway.

So pissed, I'm literally not leaving for my vacation until Sunday just because of SplatFest, I was that excited for it. Really. Come on Nintendo, the matchmaking issue was obviously found back when the Japanese SplatFest ACTUALLY HAPPENED, and you're only just telling us now?! Ugh...

Splat Fest will happen on July 4th.

Oh good and it's still cats vs. dogs. July 4th is certainly an interestng date, should make it exciting.

For anyone that took part how was it? I also think team Dogs ended up winning since everyone likes them more then cats.

I thought the Splatfest was great. I got owned by the catties most of the time but it was fun.

I was a dog and won so many matches today. I made it to Dog Champion, I was hoping to get to Queen, but eh I didn't really have enough time to. It took me 3 hours to get that far so it probably would've taken at least another hour or two.

I'm hoping dogs won but I think cats probably did. As for Europe, I'm going to guess rock won.

I think so, I don't know. But I do know that if you are on the winning team, you get double the Super Sea Snails you earned.

The cats where the better team though so they great for being in lower numbers. I was watching a bit of the Gamexplain video last night and 3 stages where in rotation for Splatfest and www does everyone think the next Splatfest will be about? I'm thinking it might be one of the ones we have seen such as Rock vs Pop or the Rice one.
