Minecraft: Story Mode

Minecraft: Story Mode was just announced as a single player Minecraft game with episodic releases. The first episode will be out by the end of the year for pretty much every console. (PC, Xbox, PS, Wii U, and mobile)

I'm not a huge Minecraft guy, but it's interesting it's coming to Wii U. That might just give me a reason to support it. XD

This is being developed by Telltale Games correct? Yeah I've heard of this before. I thought it was strange they were doing something story heavy based on a game like that. I'm not interested in it.

I've played Minecraft before and this would actually give me more reason to play the game and maybe even enjoy it.

I'm not all that fond of sandbox games, so, that's why. But a story would make it more interesting I feel.

I think story-based gameplay seems like an odd fit for a game from the Minecraft franchise, since it'd be difficult to include any of the creative elements which define the original game. However, I'll wait and see whether the reviews are good - and, if they are, I might buy it  .
