The tale of the Princess & Ash Ketchum [Pokemon fan fiction, R rated]

Meri's story starts unlike most. She grew up mostly on the streets of Hollywood where there at the age of 5 she meet a meowth who had apparently learned to walk & talk all to impress a female meowth named Meowsy. She lived in the forest close to town & would come into town from time to time; & it was when she saw Meowth offer Meowsy a bouquet of flowers that she decided to follow after him.

"What was that all about, huh?" Meri asked curiously walking at Meowth's side who just said; "She turned me down flat; saying I'm a freak who can walk & talk like a human. But all I am is just a dirty street meowth. Well I'll show her; I'll get so rich & powerful she'll come crawling to me! And then; then she'll love me."

Following at his side, Meri says to him; "But Meowth.. If she really loved you it wouldn't matter if you had any money or not. Come on; why don't you come with me back to the forest & live among the other Pokemon?" Meowth looked to her & shook his head; "No, I'm determined to show her that I'm worth something." Meri says; "But I already think your worth something. Come on; let's go to the forest together."

"Na, you go on Princess. I've got other plans." He told her smiling; "But if my plans ever should fall through I'll come & find you." He told her with a wide smile on his face as he ran off waving to her as she waved back at him with a heavy heart.. Not even knowing that a year later her life too would change.


As the song plays a scene shows Meowth waving to Meri who waves back to Meowth as her dark black curly hair blows in the breeze along with her lightly colored red dress. She smiles happily as Meowth turns away. Fast forward to showing that down the road is Officer Jenny who is driving Ash with Pikachu in his arms, past Meowth later in life. To end up inside the Pokemon Center with Officer Jenny driving her bike through the front door to see Meri quickly get out of the way as Officer Jenny skids to a halt in front of Nurse Joy's front desk. This time though Meri's wearing a white jumper with white shoes instead of the red dress as shown at the start of the song.


Meri (& Nurse Joy); "They (we) have a driveway you know."
Officer Jenny: "It's a Pokemon emergency."
Ash who's holding Pikachu in his arms & was riding in Officer Jenny's side car, stands up: "Please help it."
Nurse Joy: "Looks like a Pikachu, we'll do what we can." She walks over to her PC & says into the mic; "I need a stretcher for a small electric Pokemon STAT."
Two Chansey bring s stretcher out & Nurse Joy lays Pikachu onto it. Meri walks over to look at the Pikachu on the stretcher in concern.
Nurse Joy looks from Ash to Meri & says to them; "It'll be ok." To turn to the two Chansey & says to them; "Rush this Pokemon to the critical care unit." As the Chansey start to cart Pikachu off she says turning to Ash; "Well begin the treatment right away." As Ash walks towards her saying; "Uhhh." Joy then asks him; "Who are you?" Jenny pipes in to say; "His name is Ash, he's the Pokemon's trainer."
Ash: "If there's any thing I can do please just tell me."
Nurse Joy: "You can be more responsible."
Ash: "Huh?"
Nurse Joy: "If you want to battle young man you don't let it battle until it's in this condition."
Which only made Meri look up at the female Pikachu she named Rosey in her hair who just shrugged.
Ash: "But you don't know what happened." D:
Nurse Joy: "What's past is past. Now we have to heal your Pikachu."
Ash: "What can I do?"
Joy: "Just leave everything to me."
Ash: "Please."
Jenny salutes: "It's in your hands. I know you'll give the Pokemon excellent care."
Joy: "You got it here just in time."
Jenny: 'That's my job!" Turns & realizes her bike is at the front desk; "Oh my goodness I just realized I left my bike at the front desk!"
Joy: "Next time just use the drive way."
Jenny laughs awkwardly & walks over to remove her bike as Joy says turning to the young male trainer; "Ash you'll have to wait in the waiting room."
Ash; "Can't I?..." He begins trying to ask to go along with Joy but the door closes before he can get out any more words. Thinking to himself; "Pikachu."
Walking over to where Ash was standing all by himself; Meri asked him; "Are you ok? You look a bit beat up." She asked him out of concern.
"Na, I'm alright. I'm more worried about my Pikachu." He sighed. "Oh , uh sorry I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Ash Katchem a trainer from Pallet Town. Who are you?"
"Oh, um I'm Meri & this is my Pikachu Rosey, I rescued her from some Pokemon thieves who were poaching some Pokemon in the area. I tried to return her to her owner but because they messed up her left ear they didn't want her any more. So I asked if I could keep her & they said I could. So Rosey & I have been together ever since."  
Ash: "Oh, that's awful. I'm glad you were able to keep her though. So where you from? Are you from this region?"
"No, not originally though I did grow up in Pewter City with my adopted parents." Meri said a bit shyly as she swayed back & forth. "How far away is Pallet Town from here anyway?"
Ash: "Not very. I ran here thanks in part to upsetting a Fearrow flock." He sighed.
"I hope your Pikachu gets better. Well it's been nice meeting you; why don't you call your mom? I'm sure she's worried about you. I better get going, I'm on my journey too & after first getting Pewter City Gym leader's badge before leaving I thought I'd explore the forest to catch me some Pokemon before I headed on out to the next Gym. Anyway; have a good day. Good journey & don't worry I'm sure you're Pikachu will be fine." She smiled to place her hand on his shoulder to give him a gentle hug. He looked to her to rub his index finger under his nose as she giggles to say; "See you later Ash."
Ash: "Ok, take care good luck."
Meri: "Thanks! You too!" She told him to wave & rush off from the Pokemon center. Once away from the Pokemon Center Meri headed back towards Pewter City since she had to go through Pewter City in order to head towards the next gym.

On her way through the forest Meri realized that it was starting to get dark & she quickly made her way through the forest to make her way back to Pewter City before it became too dark out. On her way into the Pokemon Center; Meri heard what sounded like a Persian crying out in pain. Stopping short she looked to her Pikachu Rosey on her shoulder she asks her; "Did you hear that? It sounded like a Pokemon in trouble! We better check it out."
Her pikachu Rosey nodded to hop down & rush at her side as she ran to where she heard the Persian crying to find it laying on the ground & as she came around the corner of the back alley she saw a shadowed figure thrusting himself towards the poor Persian's backside. "Yea, you like that in your pussy don't you you b!tch?"

As Meri came towards the scene to shout; "Hey stop it right this minute!" She barely spotted who it was that had taken advantage of the poor female Persian. "Your not worth getting busted; I'm out of here!" As the creep got away Meri raced over with Pikachu at her side. Turning to see the Persian was laying there in pain she kneels down to ask it; "What was that creep doing to you? Are you alright?"

The Persian explained plainly in Persian to Meri that it had been cornered & raped by some human it didn't even know. "Oh, how terrible. Come on; let me help you to Nurse Joy." As she picked up the very heavy Persian to carry it on her back she raced with it slung over her shoulders to the Pokemon Center as fast as she could.

"Please, I need you to help this poor Persian. Some perverted idiot raped her! Please, you have to do something." Meri begged with tears in her eyes as her Pikachu hopped on to the Nurse's desk to sa; "Pi, pikachu!" Nurse Joy nodded to say; "I'll get right on this. I'll need you to report this to Officer Jenny. Did you by chance get a glimpse of the person responsible."

"No, I'm sorry I didn't." Meri told her clearly upset as a male voice says from behind; "She didn't but I did. That poor Persian. Don't worry Nurse Joy go ahead & treat the Persian I'll be sure to tell Officer Jenny everything I witnessed as Meri did." He says to lay a hand on her shoulder; Meri looked up with a happy look on her face to turn & hug her old friend Brock the gym leader of Pewter City. "I'm so glad it was you. I'm so happy to see you here right now."

"It's alright. But right now." He says to look to her seriously; "We need to call Officer Jenny & report this right away."

"Yea, your right." Meri said to wipe away her tears to look over to the right of the Pokemon center to spot a call center. Walking over with Brock at her side, she sits in the chair to call Officer Jenny who answers right away as Meri says; "Officer I'd like to report a human raping a Persian case. The Persian that was raped is currently being treated by Nurse Joy. Gym leader Brock & I witnessed it happening not that long ago. I didn't get a very good look at the perp but Brock got a better look at the person who did this then I did."

Jenny: "That's alright. Brock can you come by tomorrow morning & give me a description? It's getting pretty late & I won't be able to come down to the Pokemon Center tonight."
Brock: "Don't worry about it Officer Jenny; I'll come by the Police Station first thing in the morning."
Jenny: "What about Meri? She looks a bit shaken up. I'd feel better knowing she was in your care until this gets taken care of."
Brock: "Ok, Brock the rock is on it! I'll make sure to take good care of every one's Princess. I always have." He chuckled.
Jenny nods to say; "Good, I leave her in your care. Night Brock."

As minutes later the screen went black. Meri sighed to say; "Well looks like I'm staying in shay Brock-ey yet again. Sorry about this." She sighed looking to Brock apologetically.

"Hey, look it's ok stuff just kind of happens around you is all. Don't worry about it. Besides I'm sure every one will be happy to see you; they always are." He says to kneel down to her as she stand with him at her side. Smiling she giggles to say; "Thanks Brock.. You've always been such a good friend to me."

"Of course; you've always helped me when ever I needed it; I'm only returning the favor.. Princess." He smiled.

Giggling again she follows Brock who stops by Nurse Joy's front desk to ask her; "Will the Persain be alright?"

Nurse Joy nods & says; "Yes, though she needs some rest." Looking to Meri she says to her; "When she gets up tomorrow; would you stop by & see her? I'm sure she'd like to see you."

Meri looks to Brock who says shaking his head; "No, she doesn't need to be reminded of what happened to her. Just set the Persain free outside of Pewter City; it'll be alright."

Nurse Joy only looked to Meri who said; "If she wishes to see me; she'll find her way. They all do." To which Joy nods to say; "Ok, I'll do my best to make sure she gets her rest. Take care now." :3

Following Brock to his place, she came in to take off her shoes as his many brothers & sisters came over to hug her & ask if she was done with her journey already & she'd answer them saying; "No, I've just come back to get some sleep for the night. I'll be heading out in the morning thou." Asking her to stay for longer but she reminded them that she's a Pokemon trainer on her journey; she should go tomorrow. Once done she entered into the house to smile at Brock & ask him; "So need some help making dinner?" :3

Once the song plays a scene shows Meowth waving to Meri who waves back to Meowth as her dark black curly hair blows in the breeze along with her lightly colored red dress. She smiles happily as Meowth turns away. Fast forward to showing that down the road is Ash running past Meowth later in life; with Pikachu following behind Ash at his heels. To show Meri happily making breakfast for Brock's brothers & sisters.


Meri has spent the last two days living with Brock & his family to help him out with taking care of his brothers & sisters since she felt bad about leaving him alone to care for them. As Brock came in to see breakfast made for every one & saw her sleeping yet again at the table while all of his brothers & sisters ate their breakfast happily he sighed to walk over to her & shake her awake as she rubbed her eyes to ask; "What is it Brock? Did I mess up again?"

"No, I messed up. Come on; we need to talk." Brock told her to say; "Come on let's talk in the other room while every one else eats their breakfast."

Meri nods to follow Brock into the other room as he sighs to say; "Princess.. I'm sorry I brought you here. I appreciate the help but all of my brothers & sisters are just too much for you. It's the reason why I wanted you to get going after you won your badge from me the first time. They always take too much out of you. The Persian you helped should be awake; why don't you go & check on her & get going back on your journey? It'll do you good & I'll explain to every one that you had to get going back to your journey. Don't worry they'll understand."

"But.. I'm hungry & didn't eat anything before feeding every one else." D: "Can't I at least grab something before leaving?" =/

"No." Brock told her sternly, but walked over & helped her up to say; "Come on I'll at least escort you to the Pokemon Center you can eat your breakfast in peace there."

Upset Meri sighs to nod & follow Brock out at his side telling his brothers & sisters Meri has to go back on her journey & he has to get to the gym. Once finished bowing to the kids, the two leave headed to the Pokemon Center once there Brock sits her down to make sure she's fed. Once she's finished eating he sighs to look to her & say; "Meri look you have a great opportunity to get back on your journey. If I could, I'd go with you so I could become a Pokemon Breeder, the best the world's ever known."

"But Brock, I've always thought you'd make a really great Pokemon doctor. You know that." Meri told him plainly as he just smiles to nod & say; "Maybe but for now i think breeding is the way forwards for me to be able to gain more experience as a person & a trainer."

Nodding she says; "Yea, I understand where your coming from." Nodding he says; "Good luck on your journey & be sure to check on that Persian you brought in before you leave. I'll make sure to give the description of that guy who assaulted her last night to Officer Jenny before I head to the gym to take on gym challengers."

"Right!" Meri nodded to watch Brock stand up & smile to say to her; "Princess, be careful on your journey & the next gym you should try going for the the Cyrulian City gym. Just look for the way there on your map & I'm sure you'll find your way there fairly easily & good luck. I know you'll do great."

Nodding Meri says to him; "And Brock I hoep your dream to leave to pursue your idea of becoming the best Pokemon Breeder comes true. I wish that to happen for you with all of my heart." :3 And as she touched her heart making her wish a red colored flash showed forth to surround Brock that only she as he winks to say; "Don't worry I'm sure every thing will work out in the end."

Nodding Brock waves to her & leaves from the Pokemon Center, as Meri stood up to walk over to the front desk to ask Nurse Joy; "Excuse me Nurse Joy, is the Pursain I brought here form last night alright? I came to check on her & make sure she's ok."

Nurse Joy: "Yes, of course. She stayed here & waited for you the while night. She's been very patiently waiting your return I think." 
Meri: "thanks!" 

As the Chancy brought persain out on a stretcher the persain saw Meri & ran over into her arms to lick her face as Meri laughed & laughed. "Oh dear darling persian I'm so glad your alright now." The persain purred & meowed at her happily which made Meri laugh all the more when she sat her before her to say; "Persain, I have to get back on my journey.. But, I was wondering.. Would you like to come along with my Pokemon & I? You can stay here & go back to the wild if you'd rather." 

The persain shook it's head & places it's paws on her chest happily to purr & nod saying it wanted to go with her. Meri understood to say; "Alright alright I get it. Ok, your a part of the family then!"

She then took out her pokeball to place it on the persain's head & after it was caught she then named the female persain, Jade. Smiling Meri says; "Welcome to the family Jade." 

Calling Jade to her side with Rosey on her shoulder who'd been there since morning, Meri says; "Come on Jade, Rosey let's head out to Cyrulian City for my next gym badge!" Nodding the two Pokemon smiled as Jade followed at Meri's side heading out of the Pokemon center as Meri's journey continues!

Once the song plays a scene shows Meowth waving to Meri who waves back to Meowth as her dark black curly hair blows in the breeze along with her lightly colored red dress. She smiles happily as Meowth turns away. Fast forward to showing that down the road is Ash running past Meowth later in life; with Pikachu following behind Ash at his heels. To show Meri heading out of Pewter City, as she spots Ash in the middle of a battle with his Metapod against Samurai & his Metapod.


Samurai: "Metapod, harden like his!"
Ash: "Maximum hardness metapod!"
Meri: "Uhhh..... I don't think I should be seeing this.."
As time slowly passes by Meri just shrugs to give up deciding that all Ash & the Samurai kid are going to do is just use harden the whole match. "Well that was completely pointless." She yawns to stretch & walk away from the on going battle when a little bit from the area; she soon hears both boys fall over. Sighing she rolls her eyes to say; "Boys."

When she hears a female voice ask; "What's that noise?"
As she over hears the Samurai say; "A beedrill swarm approaches, our match must end. Metapod return!"

"Uh oh!" Meri says suddenly as she picks up her feet to run as fast as she can away from the area, beedrill were very protective of their home & mean. She for one was not in the mood to get stung by one so she made sure to pick up the pace after she heard what the Samurai had said.

As Meri ran, she heard the beedrill start to get closer & she says; "Aww crap!" Running deeper into the forest as she says to the female pikachu that she holds onto; "Hold on tight to me Rosey, I'll get us out of here!"

But as she ran she heard the beedrill catching up to her & she ran faster & faster until she spotted a river ahead of her to grab her pikachu into her arms & say; "Hold your breath Rosey!" To hop into the river after she took in a deep breath to jump in! Once under water she weighted herself down with a bolder & a moment later the beedrill flew right past. Letting the bolder go she swam up to the surface with Rosey in her arms as they both coughed & breathed hard. "Aw man that was awful." D: She complained, to shake herself off as too did Rosey. "Blargh." She sighed to sit down in the grass & look up at the sky.

When suddenly she heard some one yelling for help further down the river. "HEALLLLLLLPPP!"

"Hey, what was that?" Meri asked looking around to notice Rosey cleaning herself up. Standing up she heard some one yelling for help: yet again; "Heeeeeeeeelp!" Grabbing Rosey into her arms she started to follow the noise to say to Rosey; "Who ever that is, it sounds like they're in trouble."

As they followed the river down to to some falls where there they spotted a pokemon clutching to a rock for dear life. Meri couldn't quite make out what kind of pokemon it was but she could tell that it needed help. "Hold on I'll be right there!"

"Hurry up would ya! I'm gonna drown over here." Said the form of the Pokemon that she had yet to see. A talking Pokemon? What in the world? Meri wondered but didn't really think anything over as she hopped over to walk over to where the Meowth was holding onto the rock for dear life with a rope tied around her waist that she'd tied to a sturdy tree earlier before attempting her rescue. With the meowth in her arms she helped him up to the side of the river bank to lay down in the grass with him to ask him; "What the heck do you think your doing? You could have gone over the falls & hurt yourself or worse."

"Well I didn't intend to end up there, it just kind of happened after a blast off from a crazy kid with a pikachu." The meowth told her.

"Oh, hey it's you again!" Meri said in a smile to sit up & hug Meowth who recognizes her & says; "Oh hey what do you know I ran into the Princess! Lucky you came along." He smiled to hug her back happily. "So how are you doing?" She asked him as he replies happily; "I'm doing great no complaints here. But what are you doing all the way out here Princess? Shouldn't you be getting home or something?"

"Na, you see I'm on a journey to become a Pokemon Champion. My idol is Cynthia. She's so cool." Meri told Meowth all dreamy eyed & happy.

Meowth shrugs to say, "Yea, maybe but becoming champ aint gonna be easy."

"I know." Meri told him smiling, "But,it's my dream.. And.. I'd like you to be a part of it if you want to come with me.. I'd even give you a name & everything."

"Really? Ok, what would you name me if I came with you then?" He asked with a curious paw to his chin as Meri giggled to say; "To be honest you've always reminded me of Final Fantasy 4's Cain so I'd call you that."

"Cain eh? Huh, I kinda like it.. But Princess I can't come with you.. I'm with two others currently.. Jessie & James, I can't up'n leave 'em. Those two bozos need me you see." Meowth told her as he stood up to offer her his paw to help her to stand. Meri smiled to take it & he helped her up to see her pikachu & say, "Nice pikachu you got there. What's her name?"

"Oh, that's Rosey. I also have a bulbasaur I called Lilly, she's so cute." Meri told him happily; "But she's in her pokeball currently." She giggled. "Ok, so your with a new trainer that's fine. Maybe I can trade one of the trainers your with for you then? So who is it that's your trainer Jessie or James?"

"It's not that easy Princess. Look I gotta get going.." He says to take her right hand in his & kiss it to say; "But I promise we'll meet again, youze can count on it." To which he bows to smile & then stand to run off leaving her a bit heartbroken to say; "Meowth! Wait.." But it was too late as he was too gone to hear her say; "I just want us to be together.." She sighed at the last.

Turning away from where she saw him run off to she said looking at Rosey who got onto her shoulder; "Come on Rosey, I guess we better head back to our journey."

As she looked towards the road behind her, once on it she headed towards Cerulean City.

As the announcer says; "With our hero back on the road to Cerulean City, will she indeed run into Meowth again? And what of the truth? Will she find out that he's really a part of the illustrious Team Rocket! Only time will tell, so stay tuned!"

On her way to Cerulean City Meri had to make her way through Mt. Moon. But on her way she's intercepted by Clefairy who wake her up from her sleep in the middle of the night inside of her sleeping bag, curious about what she's doing in their cave. Half asleep, as she'd set up camp just on the inside of the cave, she figured that she had found herself a nice spot to sleep in.. But it seemed the Clefairy were more curious then she figured, which only made her sigh to sit up as they all played with her pillow as she yawned as Rosey rubbed her sleepy eyes to be scooped up into Meri's arms as her bulbasaur Lilly just ignored the other Pokemon poking at her trying to figure out if she was real or a stuffed animal Meri supposed with a slight giggle.

Half awake as she yawned watching the Clefairy she grabbed up her other pillow that was in her backpack to pull up her knees & lay her head on the pillow, just as her Pikachu snuggled under her feet she heard some one say, with his hand in the open tent door open; "Umm.. Excuse me.. Are you alright in here with all of these Clefairy in here like this?"

As Meri yawned to smile & say; "I don't mind I mean I'm sure they're just curious. Oh, who are you by the way??"

"Name's Jing, And.." Giggling as he came into her tent he asked; "What are you doing camping out here on Mt Moon of all things? Didn't you know this was Clefairy territory?"

"No. I had no idea, though I should have probably headed onto the Pokemon Center in Cerulean City. But I was way too tired to get through the cave as late as it was. Oh, um I'm Meri. With me are my Pokemon Rosy my Pikachu, Lilly my bulbasaur & I have a persain in her pokeball that I name Jade." Meri told him with a smile on her face.

Calling out his pokemon a growlith from it's pokeball he says to him; "Come on Fido, get these Clefairy out of here before they cause any more trouble."

To which the growlith preceded to run the Clefairy out of her tent, once complete he came back in with a proud look on his face as the Clefairy instead decided to dace around her tent singing "Clefairy!" over & over again. Yawning Jing asks her; "Are you ok to travel?" But when he looked over to Meri he noticed that she feel asleep on her pillow that was in her lap. Sighing he says; "Well I guess not." To straighten her out & put her into her sleeping bag. Tired himself he got out his sleeping bag & slept next to her in her tent.

In the morning, Meri woke up a bit late to find Jing next to her sound asleep, snoring like a log. Yawning she stretched to see her pikachu & bulbasaur wake up. "Good morning you two." She whispers trying to keep quiet so that Jing could sleep in. Smiling she gets up to start putting her sleeping bag & pillows away. Once done, she gets out a small bbq grill & puts in some coal she has in a separate bag & lights it to then start cooking herself some eggs & bacon. Once done she toasts some bread. Once finished she puts the fire out with a spritz of water that she has in a spray bottle. getting out her pokeball, she lets Jade out to say to her; "Calm now Jing is just resting for a bit as soon as he's up we'll get going." She gets out her pokemon food to then feed all of her pokemon while she brushes all of them making sure that they're all well cared for. After she eats & has brushed her teeth & those of her pokemon Jing wakes up. He smiles to see her & says; "Good morning. I guess we didn't have a proper introduction last night so I'm sorry about that. Hi, I'm Jing Usagi Pokemon league inspector." As he then sits up to show his inspector badge to her she says; half surprised: "Pokemon league inspector?! Did I do something wrong? I'm just a starter trainer I swear." D: She started all afraid that she'd done something wrong to incur the league's wrath upon her.

"Oh no no, nothing like that. Your fine. I'm actually going around to all of the Pokemon Gyms & making sure that they're running properly, it's all apart of my job. Since your a trainer I was wondering if you could help me? That & you seem to be traveling alone, and as a gentleman I think it would be best if I traveled with you that way if your in need of some one to protect you besides your partners I can provide." Jing told her.

"Help you? Help how & yea sure I don't mind if you want to travel around with my pokemon & I. It's actually nice to know that some one is going to be around, it was kind of lonely traveling by myself. Not that I don't love my pokemon, it's just that being a human having a fellow human around for a companion is nice." Meri told him with a slight giggle.

"Well, seeing as your a trainer you could go with me from gym to gym & as you take them on I can make sure that the gym leaders are doing their job properly. The Pokemon League has certain standards & having you help me by getting your badges & my traveling with you would ensure that I could see that those standards are met." Jing told her as he made himself a breakfast of cereal & milk that he was carrying with him.

"Sure, I don't mind helping. But.. What about the trainer the League sent to travel with you? Didn't things work out with them? I don't want to get in that person's way if you have some one already." Meri told him a bit concerned.

"Oh no, don't worry about that. The pokemon trainer who I was supposed to meet had to get their tonsils out & I couldn't wait on them so I went out on my own I figured I'd run into a trainer on my way to Cerulean City anyway & here you are." Jing told her after he finished a bit of his cereal with a wide grin on his face.

"Well if your sure." Meri said to him with a worried look on his face, Jing just chuckles to say with a smile after nodding to her; "Don't worry it's fine. Once I'm done eating why don't we pack up camp & head on over to the next gym? We should get there long before lunch."

"Well, just as long as I can stop over at the Pokemon Center to eat lunch before I have my gym battle. Unlike most trainers I would rather battle on a full stomach then an empty one." She told him with a slight wink. To which Jing says; "Sounds like a plan."

Announcer: "As we leave our hero's behind eating their breakfast one wonders if perhaps Meri will run into Meowth again. And what of Ash? He's slowly catching up to her as we speak. Better be prepared for the next episode."

Announcer: "We now join our hero's on their journey through the forest heading towards Cerulean City."

"How long exactly is it going to take us to get to Cerulean City? It feels like it's been hours that we've been traveling." Meri told Jing in a huge sigh. Jing just chuckles to say; "Don't worry we should be arriving very soon. It's just past that hill up ahead." As they arrived at the hill, looking down from it they both saw the beauty of the city as the sun shone over head. "Wow, that's a really pretty sea city." Meri said in awe. Jing nods & says; "Come on. I know the way to the Pokemon Center. This way." He says to lead the way down the hill & into town. Once inside the Pokemon Center, Meri's tummy started to rumble. Sitting down at a chair Meri says; "Oh, I'm so hungry." D: When she heard a familiar voice complain; "Your not alone there kid." Turning to her left Meri saw Meowth sitting next to her & she hugs him to say; "I'm so glad to see you again. What are you doing here anyway?" Which he smiles & says; "Just waiting for Jessie & James to pick up their Pokemon they left off with Nurse Joy. I'm in tip top shape you know." Meri smiled & said; "Of course. Oh here, I have some food to share if you want." To which she pulls out some bread to share with him but when she goes to give him some he's standing to shake his head & says; "Na, I'm alright. Besides I've got to go, the Nurse just came out & returned their Pokemon." Meri looked up to see a red haired woman wearing a white shirt that came up above her belly button & a white skirt. The shirt had a red R on it, as too did the man's shirt. The blue haired man looked to Meowth to say; "We're ready to go." Nodding Meowth says; "Ok, I'm coming right after ya." To which the red haired woman says; "Don't be long."

The both of them walk out of the Pokemon Center as the red haired woman flipped her hair back heading out of the door; Meri looked to Meowth who says to her; "Look Princess I gotta go. But you should know something before I go." Which Meri asks; "What's that?"

"That those two are working for me. You see I work for Team Rocket & I'm those two bozo's boss. I know that you & I are old friends & personally I respect ya. But.. I wanted to give you a warning.." He says to her as Meri looks over to see Jing as he's looking over the Center's lunch menu as he waits for her to come over to where he's sitting. She can see he's already ordered the both of them some water to drink & was scanning the menu already. Looking to Meowth she asks him; "What kind of warning?" As Meowth says looking straight into her eyes; "To stay away from us. Meri, Team Rocket are bad people. Their leader wants to rule the world by taking control of all Pokemon. Which make me a bad Pokemon. I know that you & I have some good memories together.. So I thought I'd tell it to you straight before you figured it out for yourself."

"I don't believe you. I don't believe that any pokemon any where is bad. All pokemon are innately good. It's the way I've always felt." Meri told him with conviction in her voice to which Meowth says; "That maybe how you feel, but what I told you is the truth. I work for Team Rocket. Princess you should have a different dream for yourself, because if you don't you & I could be on opposite ends one day."

Meri just shook her head; "No, you & I would never be on opposite ends of a battle. You & I.. Have been tight for as long as I can remember.." Meowth nods & then hands her a soothe bell that she gave him when they first meet. "That's why I'm givin this back to youz. I can't hold onto it knowin what I knows. So.. Please just stop your journey.. For my sake."

"Meowth...." To which she stopped herself & smiled to say; "Cain, I can't do that. My path is set in stone."

Nodding he sighed with tears in his eyes to lay the bell at her side & say; "Some how I knew you'd make this path I choose harder for me."

"But.. You don't have to go down this path. You & I can be together. Like before. You know that I've always held our friendship highest above all else... I've even helped to feed the both of us when neither of us could barely find a scrap. We shared berries, & scraps of left over food together.. We were happy back then. I remember everything.. Even if I feel like my adopted family tried to make me forget."

"Princess. I'm sorry but it's just got to be this way." Meowth says walking away as he says to her; "But we may never see each other again. And if we do.. We'll be on separate sides, because I may have to battle against you.."

"Cain.." She says in a whisper as Meowth runs away saying; "Farewell!" While he's crying. Once he left from the Pokemon Center she was sitting alone; as tears streamed down her face.. Looking over to where Jing sat she spotted the Chancy come over & get his order. Wiping the tears from her face she walked over to sit across from him & order herself the peanut butter & jelly sandwich lunch meal.

Jing asked looking over to Meri after she ordered her meal & he his; "What was all that about with that weird talking Meowth?"

"Just an old friend.. He wanted to tell me.. Goodbye." She told him sadly. Jing looked over to her to ask; "Why are you sad? Is he dying or something?" Shaking her head she says; "No, he's just not the same kind of Pokemon that I remember him to be while I was little... I guess over time.. We both changed. Weather we like it or not."

Jing shrugs & says; "But, every one changes. It's all apart of life & growing up. Every one changes, even Pokemon can change.. Over time." He told her; "Besides I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, as long as in your heart you know he's still your friend I'm sure everything will turn out alright."

Sighing Meri nods & says; "I sure hope so." She told him as their lunch arrived & they started to eat together. Jing looked over to Meri as she ate her peanut butter & jelly with chips to ask; "Do you have a boy friend or anything?"

Coughing a bit surprised she drinks some milk tank milk to reply; "No of course not. Why, do you have a girl friend or something?" She asked him red faced as he nods & says with a sigh; "I used to yea. Until we broke up before I left from town. She was a real pain about everything. Analyzing everything I said & did. I'm kind of glad that I broke things off with her, she was starting to get too negative for my tastes.." He sighed deeply. "But don't worry I was just curious is all. Still, after lunch why don't we head over to the Cerulean Gym? That way we can get your gym battle started & I can start grading that gym's performance."

Nodding Meri says; "Sounds like a good idea to me." She told him with a nod of her head as she happily ate her lunch with her new friend. One they both finished eating she had a bit of dessert & he waited on her. "Alright, I'm done let's head over to the gym." She told him. Nodding he stood up to get the chair for her & escorted her out of the Pokemon Center to the Cerulean Gym. Once they arrived at the Gym, they found out that it was center stage for three young girls who be staging a water show when they arrived. "Wow, who knew that a Pokemon Gym could be used in this way."

Waiting for the show to be over, Meri & Jing both approached the three girls. "Excuse me are one of you the gym leader here? I'm Meri Lyte from Pewter City & I've come here to challenge the gym leader for a badge. And with me is Jing, he's a Pokemon Gym inspector sent out to inspect gym's for quality on behalf of the Pokemon League."

Daisy speaks up & says; "We're all known as the Sensational Sisters of Cerulean. I'm Daisy, these are my sisters, Violet & Lily. I'm sorry to say but after today's show our Pokemon are exhausted & we can't really do a gym battle right afterwards. But, if you want to still get your badge & battle against another gym there's a fire gym right near here run by gym leader Etna who was given reign over her father Lucious' gym to run just recently." Handing Meri the pamphlet showing the way to the fire gym she says; "It's not that far from here if you want to take the fire gym on. Sorry about this." She says bowing to her as Jing shrugs & says; "Well it is what it is. I haven't even been to Etna's gym yet since it was just set up; so I'm fine with going there. But it's up to what ever you want to do Meri."

Nodding Meri says; "Yea that sounds like a good idea. I'll head over to Etna's gym then, thanks for the pamphlet Lily. I hope I get to battle against you or one of your sisters should I come by here & I am in need of another badge." She told them with a giggle to which Lily says; "Oh well it's ok you can battle our youngest sister Misty when she comes back. But she's in the middle of a journey right now so you might want to try later."

Nodding Meri says; "Ok, I'll keep that in mind then. Later & thanks again!" She told them smiling as she & Jing left from the gym. All three girls sighed relieved once she & Jing had left heading to the fire gym.

Out of the gym Jing asked; "So we heading right for the gym then?" Which Meri shook her head; "Not really. I have to catch a water type before I can even take the fire gym on so I'm going to have to rent a fishing rod & catch some water types before I can even get any further in gym badge collecting. So come on; we're heading for the beach. It's the best place for water types to be found & caught."

Jing nods & says; "Sounds like a plan to me. Lead the way." He told her as she thanked the Sensational Sisters for telling her about the other gym to leave heading to the beach. Once at the beach, she rents a fishing poll. Once she gets it ready she sits on the dock on a chair & waits patiently for her lore to catch some water types. Jing walks over to her to say; "I'm going over to the beach area to sit in the lounge chair's & wait for you. When your ready to go come & get me."

Meri nodded to thank him for letting know where he was going as he waved to walk away. Once gone she went back to waiting for any water type's to nibble on the line. When she heard the strum of a guitar she looked up to see Meowth lazily sitting on the deck bellow where she stood. He then noticed her to wink at her & began singing.


As his song leads the viewer into the credits, they can see Meowth stand up at the end to walk away showing Meri crying at the end scene.

*Note:

As Meri watched Meowth walk away she cried openly just wishing they could be together, like they used to be. he & her giggling & she'd rub his belly feeding him bread as she used to. When she heard at her feet a Goldeen calling out to her, touching her ankle since she was in the water up to her ankles in bare feet. She walked closer into the water to kneel down & bent down to hug the Goldeen to her crying as it rubbed it's head against hers. She also felt a Magicarp at her side. She smiled to walk over & kiss it to say; looking to both the Goldeen & Magicarp; "Thank you for making me feel better." She told them both in happy tears to bring the Magicarp into her embrace still crying. The Magicarp cried out it's name a few times to flop out of her arms & back into the ocean to look to her & say it's name one last time & evolved into a Gyarados!! Standing up to use a pokeball & capture the Goldeen; she walks towards the Gyarados to hug it & say; "I need your help. Can you help me out?" Looking up to him, he knelled his head down to purr in her hands. Nodding she says; "Then I shall name you Mighty. The Goldeen I named Cher.. I hope you both work well together & thank you." She pulls out another Pokeball to capture the Gyarados in it & she kisses it to hug it to her. Once finished she nodded to leave from the beach heading over to where Jing awaited her.

Jing, was lounging on a beach chair, enjoying his time resting his eyes snoring slightly. "Jing." Meri says simple; he snorts to look up to her as she says; "I'm ready to go." Jing sits up stretching to say; "That sure didn't take long." She says; "I caught a Goldeen & Gyarados. So I think I'll be fine taking on gym leader Etna with the two water types I caught. I need to stop by a shop for some potions & we can get going after that."
