by It's that time of year again! As we approach the holidays, we'll be holding our 4th annual Secret Santa gift exchange. If you weren't here in past years or have never participated in Secret Santa (or something similar, there's quite a few other names it goes by) here's the basic run-down:
Of those who sign up, everyone will be randomly assigned someone to give a gift to. This gift can range from a huge variety of things, you could make them a piece of art, music, etc. or buy them a gift card and send them the code. Also, this year, I've decided that, so long as the person you're giving the gift to complies, you can send a physical gift. (the way I'd do that is by asking them if they'd be comfortable with doing it, giving me name and address info, and then giving the information to the person giving the gift. Your information will be kept privately between me, you, and the gift giver, but of course this is still the internet, and I know a lot of you are uncomfortable with that sort of thing, I'm just giving the option this year in case anyone is interested and it gives more variety to the types of gifts you can give)
Anyway, this gift will be sent to me then to your Secret Santa. (unless you're doing the physical gift in which case it's a bit different as explained above) This is to make sure you don't know who sent your gift. Everyone will then guess who sent their gift at the end.
I tried to explain it pretty thoroughly, but if you have questions, feel free to ask! Sign ups will begin tonight, and run until December 10th. That gives you a little under a week to sign up and a couple weeks to get your gift in. (I haven't decided the date for giving me your gifts yet but it'll likely be before the end of the year) I'd really love to have at least 6 people participate, but we'll see how it goes...of course, if we DO have 6, more can sign up as well. :3
