Big news this Monday?

Damon Baker has hinted that big news will be here this Monday in Nintendo World Report's Podcast.


intendo is gearing up to make an announcement very soon. Fans should keep an eye out for news sometime on Monday.

Damon Baker, Nintendo of America’s senior manager of licensing and marketing, shared a tease about what’s to come during Nintendo World Report’s podcast in support of Child’s Play. He said earlier today:

“Speaking of announcements, I wish I could tell you guys, but stay tuned for Monday. Monday there’s going to be something… something happening on Monday. It’s going to be big.”

Baker closed off his comments by stating: “Stay tuned, it’s going to be good.”

I feel like it will just be something about an indie game or maybe the Wii U version of Minecraft is coming after all?

Knowing Nintendo, it could be anything. Unless Disney bought them out or something.

It could be anything definitely. Damon Baker has been involved with indies before right? It's not guaranteed of course but I think something indie related is very likely. An indie character in Smash Bros, games like Undertale getting a Wii U and/or 3DS release, or an indie studio and Nintendo are working together on something (My guess would be Yacht Club Games because they were able to make Shovel Knight amiibo). I'm not getting my hopes up for anything but I'm interested to hear what this announcement is.

Possible announcement for the Smash Bros special broadcast? I think that could happen.

I think the Smash Broadcast will have a time revealed.

I'm hopping on board the indie train, it seems most plausible given it's Damon Baker, I wouldn't be surprised to see a port of a major indie title. (like that rumored Minecraft port)

It could also be related to My Nintendo Account or something though.

I'm hoping for My Nintendo Account. The time for the broadcast could happen, and it has good chances, but I'd like to see something that's not a game. Besides, Club Nintendo's replacement? That pretty big imo.

It could be anything. Maybe it will be about the Smash Broadcast. Maybe it will be about a indie game. Maybe it will be about that Minecraft rumor...

Whatever it will end up being, I am curious to find out.
