Nintendo always has a big game to launch their new consoles with that takes advantage of the new hardware and tries to teach you what it can do. Super Mario World made use of the SNES' new Super FX chip allowing for new types of gameplay, Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64 made use of a 3D world, Wii Sports showed off the motion controls, and Nintendo Land showed the many uses of the Wii U Gamepad. I'm sure Nintendo will continue going the same route, especially if NX has some new type of controller or gimmick to go along with it. What type of game do you expect it to be?
I honestly think they'll go with another minigame collection type of game like Wii Sports or Nintendo Land. I feel like it's the best way to show off all of the new ways to play games in one single title, being able to go off and try out each one individually. And honestly I feel like it might just be a straight up sequel to Nintendo Land. However, I do think Nintendo is planning to make the NX launch huge, so I don't doubt the next 3D Mario game will be released at launch as well making use of the new features of NX, in addition to the Zelda Wii U port, and probably a few other first party titles as well. (personally hoping for a new IP and Splatoon)
