Something I thought of when I saw Zero's topic on the show, but do you often give others second, third, x amount of chances?

In my case I generally don't get mad enough to no longer want to communicate or do something with others, but I guess in some instances I overlook people's past actions pretty easily and forgive and forget...kinda without forgiving and really just forgetting. I'm just curious to how others feel about doing this.

Huh, I've never actually thought about that before, even with that show.

I tend to be very forgiving with people. Sure I can get mad at them, and maybe for quite some time, but I'm very open to giving people a second chance. If they haven't done anything particularly damaging to me I honestly feel as though it's completely deserved if anything. But of course that does depend on what has happened with them in the past. Obviously if they do something to me that really ruins me I'm not going to want to talk to or hang around that person again. (unless I'm forced into doing so)

I usually make rash decisions and keep distances away, but after a certain amount of time I start to see the good in people and look past the issues. However I've seen many arguments and drama from a certain Skype group and some wounds aren't simply healed by time.

For me it depends on whom it is. For some people from my past, there are no second chances. I've had a few online friends who I wouldn't give a second chance to even if they paid me. But there are still a few others who I see as second chance worthy.

For others, with me it depends. If we're cool & get along irl then yea sure I can consider it. But if your an all out jack-in'ape towards me & we split ways then do it again when I see you then no totally not worth my time.

It depends on the context, but generally I'm willing to grant second chances except to people who did something truly unforgivable. If I'm feeling nice, maybe third or even more chances - but no more than that.

There are times when people do something truly unforgivable, and I just don't feel like a second chance is worth it. However other times someone might just make a mistake. Those do happen and people shouldn't just be completely giving up on someone just because of a little mistake.
