Repairs for Nintendo DS Ending April 30th

Nintendo has confirmed that official repairs for the original Nintendo DS will be ending on April 30th. Note that this does NOT include DS Lite, DSi, or DSi XL. (and obviously not 3DS models)

I mean this makes perfect sense, the original model is very hard to come by so I don't see anyone needing repairs anyway. I mean you can buy a used one for literally $10 now. My original DS model is broken and has been for years, but I really don't need it, still have a fully working 3DS and DS Lite.

I still need my old DS system so I can use codes with a few DS titles or play a few GBA games when they're being silly & are refusing to play on the GB player.

Still, this kind of thing is to be expected since the DS is all but a dinosaur now a days anyway.

Nintendo might also be ending production on DS cartridges.

So it looks like the era is closing for the DS even though it stayed in the public eye even after Nintendo shifted focus to the 3DS.

I'm surprised they were still doing repairs on DS systems. I thought they would have stopped after they moved on to the 3DS. It has to be about 12 years old now. It's fine, it had a very good run.
