[RUMOR] NX to be "Cheaper Than Expected"

And here we are with yet another report/rumor on NX. MCV has cited sources claiming the NX price will be quite a bit lower than most are expecting.

Early online speculation about pricing for the NX expects it to be cheaper than current consoles, but from what we’ve heard it’s going to be cheaper than even the vast majority expect

This could be good, it's making me expect possibly a $199 price tag for NX. I don't think they'll go below that because that would probably be way TOO low, but I could see it happening.

It'd make sense solely being a handheld, but considering it's supposed to be their new big console that'd be a very odd choice for pricing.

I'm expecting $250 so that Nintendo can still make money off of the system and if you price it at $200 people will think it's not that much of an update to the 3DS.

Well, hopefully this doesn't mean people are going to revise their expectations down too far, so that they're disappointed when it does come out .

The launch price for the Wii U was $299.99 for the Basic version, and $349.99 for the Deluxe version, so "cheaper than expected" probably just means less than that. $249.99 for the Basic version, perhaps?
