Xenoblade Chronicles 2

It looks like a sequel to the the first Xenoblade is coming to the Switch at some point.



I'm sure the game will end up being good. I just don't like the art change and most of the characters look pulled from different anime series.

Yeah no visually this looks terrible, I hate it. But it's interesting to see a direct sequel to Xenoblade, I expected them to go in a way different direction for their next game. I still need to actually play through the whole original.

I guess I'm the odd one out and think it looks nice...but I should probably play through the other two just for my sake of playing in order.

I'm on the fence with how it looks myself. Tbh, I think this is just a tech demo showing a trailer for how the game is supposed to look & the game will probably look more polished closer to launch is how I feel. For now I do still like the idea of the game shown & can't wait to see more about it closer to when it actually launches. More so since I'm a huge fan of this series in general. xp

Considering how much people have complained about the character models in the previous two Xenoblade games, I guess I can see why they went with a completely different style for this one. I'm really curious as to how it will relate to the plot and world of Xenoblade (assuming it will). I'm usually critical towards sequels to standalone masterpieces (Chrono Cross to Chrono Trigger, for example), but maybe this can be good.

Also the main character's outfit looks ridiculous, even for Xenoblade standards.

8-4 will not be handling localization for this game.

Maybe NOE will handle it like the first game. Though I'm sure it will be the Treehouse and everyone will end up crying about them handling a game again.

Well it has already been confirmed to be releasing outside of Japan this year, so there is definitely a localization team on the project. I don't think we really have to worry about it at this point honestly, if they're able to get it out that quickly (or at the very least are confident in their ability to do so) then they must be pretty good.

It looks really good even if the voice acting is kind of meh.

I still really like the artstyle despite what some are saying. But I haven't finished the first game and still kind of want to play X before this if I were to continue, so for now I'm not planning to buy it. Glad to hear it's still releasing this year though.

Very happy that NOE is in charge again and that there will be very little spoilers due to the worldwide release.

Worldwide release for Xenoblade? Whoa! I was not expecting that even after getting the holiday 2017 confirmation. Crazy!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be released on December 1st along with a special edition and pro controller.

I have to get that special edition if the scalpers don't beat to it and the game did not get delayed after all. I do feel the Direct segment did drag on 3 minutes more then it should have even though the game is looking really good.

What's funny is that I personally called XB:C2 releasing during the month of December. It makes the most sense since I'm sure a bunch of fans will be asking for this title as a Christmas gift. That & Nintendo want's that Christmas money. I also have a feeling this title will sell a lot more Switch units, but that's just me. xp

^ I think this is gonna sell MUCH better than Xenoblade X, if only because the Switch is much more popular. Even the original game did pretty well considering it was really difficult to find. They're quality games and clearly popular enough to sell, Nintendo just made some really bad decisions with the first two and with marketing them. This one should do a lot better. Not to mention the game itself actually looks like a huge improvement over the first, and I really want to play it at some point!
