With the release of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle later this month I thought it would be a nice time to share 10 of my favorite Rabbit Breeds.

My top 10 Rabbit Breeds American

    American:

    Weight: 9 - 12 pounds.
Body Type: Slate blue or white. This rabbit has well-rounded hindquarters, narrow shoulders, and long erect ears.

The American breed is pretty much your standard Rabbit that you likely saw in the wild at least once.

My top 10 Rabbit Breeds Checkered_giant

    Checkered Giant:

    Weight: 12 + pounds.
Body Type: White with spots of black or blue on the nose, check, back, and hindquarters. It has a racy type body with an arch to the back. The head is relatively large; ears long and erect.
Special Care: Some rabbit owners claim this breed takes extra care becuase the racier body is more prone to injury and the large size makes handling difficult. Not for a first-time rabbit owners.

I liked how the Checkered Giant breed looks like a cow and it's a good type of rabbit to have as a pet if you have lots of experience taking care of them.

My top 10 Rabbit Breeds Standerd_chinchilla

    Standerd Chinchilla:

    Weight: 5 - 7 pounds.
Body Type: Compact chuby-looking body of medium length. Ears long and upright. Each hair of fur has three bands of different colors; blue at the base, pearl in the middle, and black at the top.

The Chinchilla breed has a nice mix of colors and it looks a bit different then the regular rabbit you might see.

My top 10 Rabbit Breeds Lionhead

    Lionhead:

    Weight: 3 - 3 3/4 pounds.
Body Type: This breed originated in Belgium but has been developed in England. Body is well-rounded. Fur on body is dense and of medium length fur two to three inches long froms a mane around rabbits with both lopped and upright ears are being developed at the time of this writing but only one or the other is likely to be accepted by professional breeders associations.

The lion head really does give that lion like vibe based on it's looks.

      American fuzzy lop:
    • Weight: 3 to 4 pounds.

    • Body Type: These small rabbits have a large, flatted "bulldog" face and lopped ears, and look somewhat like a Holland Lop with long fur. They have been bred in many different colors.

    • Special Care: This is a wool breed and will require extensive daily grooming and a special diet.

The American Fuzzy Lop has a Bulldog like face and it's long fur is also pretty nice.
