I wound up only using this once after I downloaded it.

It is pretty cool, but annoying because they don't have that many places you can go...

    I downloaded it free.
My sister wanted to see our condo in Florida again (she wouldn't listen when I told her it's just basically Google Earth).
It wouldn't show my cottage is though, the images are from 2011.

Actually, all of the images are from different time periods I think, around where I live it said the photos were from June 2012.

But it is basically Google Earth, in fact, I think Google Earth is actually better than this is.

Well, at least it was free...
    Google Earth is probably better.
But this showed underwater (e.g. Great Barrier Reef, Apa Island, etc.).

I think you can see underwater in Google Earth as well, can you not? Also, Google Earth may even have a more updated photos, maybe your condo would show up there.

    ^Oh yeah, you can.
They show both my cottage and condo on Google Earth.
I think this was just to make people buy more Google Products.

I think Google should probably update it on Wii Street U then...that kinda makes no sense, since you can do the street view thing in Google Earth.

Yeah, maybe more people will then buy Google products.
Well, actually you literally can't see underwater but you can see the lake.
    Street U is only streets.
Google Earth can do almost anything.

Well seeing as I saw a news report saying that Google got sued for invasion of privacy.. source So I don't see Google Earth's pic's being updated anytime soon due to this.

^ Uh, yeah, those are kinda weird things, I've never seen any of those mentioned in the 'Google Street View privacy concerns' however.

Also, I think that Wii Street U should at least have some of the other things Google Earth has, such as the time periiod changer, etc.

A new update adds the following:

    • Can register places as favorites
    • Nine new recommended spots added
    • Miiverse support
    • Take pictures of places and post them to Miiverse, can view others’ contributions, as well
    • Can tag your pictures with your thoughts. The tags include “normal,” “awesome,” “beautiful,” “unusual” and “scary”.
    • Can also view pictures based on a certain tag
    • Can now “spoiler” your images as well, which covers up the image with a question mark
Honestly, the tags are kinda pointless to me, but I guess it's nice to have them...Miiverse support is definitely a cool feature though, I might start using it to post photos. :3
