I chose survival too. If I want Creative, I just use Single Player Commands to change it.

Depending, when I have cousins over we tend to play things that were made on Creative, but when I play with others I prefer Survival to reach a certain goal. I can't really enjoy survival alone because once I make a house with a bed I'm pretty much set and don't have anything to try to achieve.

Survival, I find creative to be boring after a while... I mean, I make what I want to make and I'm done...
