Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games

A new Mario & Sonic game will be out in 2014 for the Wii U. At this time it's unknown if the game is also coming to the 3DS.

It includes games that have you switch between Wiimote Plus and Gamepad. Some stages are built in the worlds of Sonic and Mario. Mixed events that combines sports into one race. Due out in 2014.

The mixed events sound cool. But I hope this game is a little better then the London games.

This looks sorta nice so far, I don't own any of the other ones, but this may be something I look into. Now they'll have 2 summer olympics and 2 winter olympics. I wonder if they'll still make more after this...

I bet it'll be on 3DS just because it would only make sense. They've released it on the handhelds for the other 3 games.

Also, I want to point out how long that name is. "Mario and Sonic at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games" seriously lol. They should shorten it a bit.

Iwata just called it the next game in the Mario & Sonic series.

I also think 2 characters should be added on each side.

I know they likely showed the whole roster but, Metal Sonic was not there so we might get a few new characters like the 2010 Winter Games.

Ice hockey? They probably had it in the 2010 one. Although, since I don't usually watch the winter olympics, they might not even have ice hockey for all I know. Not that they need to for it to be in this game.

They'll have it in the real Olympics.

Just how do they exactly play ice hockey on a summer year round island.

I have no idea. And also it's the winter olympics...I guess it's just summer there all year round.

I always enjoy seeing the Mario and Sonic stages thrown into these games, it reminds me I'm not just playing a normal sport game.
