Wii U

^ Everybody is discounting the Wii U because it's selling so badly...I'm actually kinda scared Nintendo will just discontinue it because of that. Or maybe it'll be like the 3DS where they started out with no games, and now they have way too many good games to keep up with. :3

The Wii Sports sales were counted when people bought it with their Wii console. So it's not exactly accurate...

Finally, they're dropping the price.
I still think they should add a game with it though.

Hm? There's Nintendo Land that comes with it...not the basic package, but having a game bundle with the basic package would just make it more expensive again really. Plus you would have less data storage...only 8 GB.

I'll probably be getting a Wii U before the end of the summer.
Pikman 3 should be out by the time I get one is my guess.

If they didn't count the sales bundled with it Mario Kart Wii and Wii Sports would be down a lot more

I didn't. It's not weird though, they've done that before. ZombiU is a Wii U exclusive so it makes sense. I expect a bundle with Mario Kart U as well.

Sooner or later they'll be bundling New Super Luigi U with a green console and GamePad.

What exactly do you mean LuigiFan? It actually hasn't been much of s success so far, not many games so it's having much less sales than the Wii. I'm assuming once games like Smash Bros. 4 and Mario U, Zelda U, etc. release, we will see better sales numbers.

I don't have the Zombi U Deluxe set but, it's a good deal because it comes with everything the Deluxe set has plus Zombi U and the Wii U Pro Controller.

As for new bundles I expect a Mario Kart Wii U and a 3D Mario one. There also might be one for Wii Sports U if they make it.

Japan is getting a Nintendo Land bundle that comes with a Wiimote Plus Controller.

If that Gamepad battery comes out in North America I will likely pick it up.

^ I will definitely get the battery if it releases in NA as well! 8 hours is a much better battery life than the current 2 or 3 hours I get.

Also are those Wii Remote Plus bundles also with the Wii U, or just Nintendo Land with the remote?

Nintendo will no longer be selling the Wii U Basic model as it has not sold as well as the Premium model thus far. I'm not sure whether this means a price drop on the premium console, or if they will release a white version of the premium model. But I can see why they'd end the basic model as it only has 8 GB of memory anyway...

Quite honestly--and despite me not caring about this--doing a price drop like the 3DS would prolly be a smart move. But... That'll just seem like Nintendo is robbing people of their money again. I dunno about any of you, but considering when I got my first 3DS in 2011 on my birthday before the price drop back in Aug. 2011, I was pissed off. The Ambassador Games didn't make up for that(just try and guess why; emulation on PSP).

As for the basic model getting discontinued... I have nothing to comment on that with...

Basic Set was really useless.
More people like black consoles, 8GB was not enough storage and it didn't come with a game.
The Deluxe Set is obviously better.
