Don't forget, if you own a Wii U Deluxe model (which I assume most of you do) the Deluxe Digital Promotion ends by the end of day tomorrow. (December 31st) Make sure you add your money to the eShop if you have any points you haven't redeemed yet! Or download whatever games you wanted to download so you can get those extra points.

Re: Wii U
Remember, if you have DDP points still, you must redeem them for eShop codes by April 1st, 2015, and redeem the codes themselves on the eShop by June 1st.
The way Nintendo said it in their recent reminder, I thought they had extended the DDP until April 1st, apparently not.

Re: Wii U
So, you know that pre-loading feature recently added to Wii U a few months ago? Has anyone even used it? I know most members here tend to purchase physical copies of their games, but just curious. I personally also prefer physical copies, but I'm thinking about pre-loading Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, as it's a budget game, and would be nice to have it pretty much ready to go when I go to my Wii U on February 13th.

Re: Wii U
I haven't.
I'll still buy physical games until I can't at all.

Re: Wii U
Super Mario Galaxy 2 can now be downloaded on the eShop. Also the Metroid Prime set and Punch Out! will be added later this month.
I wish there was a option to load the game into the Wii U menu if you have the Wii game. I might pick up Metroid Prime though.

Re: Wii U
I already own Galaxy 2, and the original versions of every Metroid Prime game, so I see no reason to redownload either. Although, Punch-Out!! Wii I've been wanting to get for awhile, maybe I'll get an eShop card and download it for the $10 price the week of it's release.
@Queen
I totally agree. If they can let you start these up from the Wii U menu, there should be an update to let you do it from your actual Wii discs too...

Exactly. You think ti'd be something they'd do but of course it's all about the money. -_-Winters Thief Zero wrote:@Queen: I totally agree. If they can let you start these up from the Wii U menu, there should be an update to let you do it from your actual Wii discs too...

Re: Wii U
So apparently, when you download the Wii U eShop version of the Wii games, all of your save data will be in tact if you already played it via the disc version on the Wii Menu. I think that's pretty nice, so if you already had the game on disc through the Wii Menu, you can still play with your old save data.

Re: Wii U
Sounds nice that you can use old save data. Now people who already have Galaxy 2 and buy it again for whatever reason won't have to suffer going through the Perfect Run again.
Really excited for Punch Out Wii coming to the e-shop. I get to have and play the 3 Punch Out games on my Wii U now.

Re: Wii U
But still, no GamePad controls.
I won't be getting any games that I already own.

Re: Wii U
^ You can use the Wii U Gamepad on any Wii game that was compatible with anything other than just the Wii Remote originally. It makes sense, honestly, Super Mario Galaxy couldn't be played without it. Metroid Prime Trilogy will likely have Gamepad support though.

Re: Wii U
They said "some" games that used the Classic Controller, they didn't say all games that didn't only use the Wii Remote.

Re: Wii U
Okay, so I've made predictions for when I think games will release on Wii U twice for 2015, but now that it's February I think I have a pretty good idea. I'm including a few other things and I do think there will be at least one game of some sort every month. Here's my newest predictions, including what has already released so far this year (nothing XD)
January
Wii games on Wii U Virtual Console*
February
Hyrule Warriors DLC*
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse
March
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars (eShop)
Mario Party 10
April
Project Giant Robot (eShop)
Super Smash Bros. Free DLC
Xenoblade Chronicles X (Japan only, releasing in west later)
May
Splatoon
Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2
June
Yoshi's Woolly World
July
Mario Maker
August
Xenoblade Chronicles X (outside of Japan)
Project Guard (eShop)
September
Star Fox
October
Devil's Third
Super Smash Bros. Paid DLC
November
The Legend of Zelda
Animal Crossing (Japan only, releases outside of Japan in 2016)
Splatoon DLC
December
Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem
Italics means confirmed already for this time slot
* Already released
