Animal Crossing Plaza

"Isabelle just announced that Animal Crossing Plaza is coming to Wii U. Animal Crossing Plaza is like an Animal Crossing version of Wara Wara Plaza. You can import your screenshots from Animal Crossing: New Leaf and post them to Miiverse, including QR Codes. You can also post about your favorite animal neighbors, who wander the Animal Crossing Plaza.
Animal Crossing Plaza is a limited-time service that will run through the end of 2014. Animal Crossing Plaza will be available as a free download for the Wii U after today’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
Nintendo has also confirmed that it plans to open a Miiverse community to the immensely popular Animal Crossing franchise. The news was announced by Nintendo of America during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation."

Anyone with New Leaf and a Wii U probably will though.

I don't really see the point of this since most who have Animal Crossing New Leaf don't have a Wii U.
Maybe there testing things to see how they will work for the Wii U Animal Crossing that is likely coming in 2015 or late 2014.
I likely won't get this since it will just take up space on the Wii U that I can use for other things.

I kinda like the idea, but I wish they'd instead put it on Nintendo 3DS, so that people who have New Leaf can easily go to it from their 3DS.

I will probably download it so that I can see all the animals, I'm assuming it's like how they wandered around in the city from City Folk.

But if it were on 3DS, then you could make them move into your town, with this, they're just...there. Kinda pointless.

Well I for one am trying it. I'm downloading AC Plaza now & to be honest I think the plaza should stick around past 2014, even if an Animal Crossing U is released during that year.

I downloaded it, I don't see why they don't just have a Miiverse community for Animal Crossing rather than this. The only other feature is that you can mark a character as a favorite...

Well actually it's to help post pictures to the MiiVerse really. There's an option for you to upload all of your pictures from your 3DS SD card to the Wii U Crossing Plaza. Once you've uploaded your pictures you can post the in game pictures you took to the MiiVerse from there.

You can also add your town name; your character name & your Dream Address on top of marking which one of the folk is your favorite.

My favorite is O'Hare but I could only find Roscoe at the time I uploaded all of my pics so I just marked Roscoe as my favorite until I can find O'Hare in the plaza. XD

My favorite is Cookie, but could only find Stitches (my second favorite), so I just marked him as a favorite. I know there are a lot of different animals, but it should really have all of them in New Leaf on it.

Yea I agree with you Zero. Also the activity for the Animal Crossing Plaza in the miiverse is insanely active!!!! @_@;

I didn't see any posts made for any of the characters after downloading it, perhaps that's due to the fact that I downloaded it this morning when it was probably just added.

Are all the animals in the same place for every Animal Crossing Plaza, or is it just your own Plaza with random characters?

That I do not know. All I know is I spotted her in my plaza & reported seeing her. The rest would be up to you to check on Cap'in.

Oh yea, I have O'Hare favorited now & I'm happy about it. Also I drew a LOT of Animal Crossing folk, so take a look. (I might do a thread later lol.) Also this app is going to kill my forum time cause I'm enjoying it so much.. I'll try & take a break from it sometime on Thursday. I want sometime to enjoy it fully atmo. ^^; xD

Quite honestly I don't see how it could take away so much of your time, I'm not good with the drawing, so all I'd really do is look at the characters.

And also I'm assuming there will be an Animal Crossing game for Wii U by 2015, considering this service ends at the end of 2014...

Well to be fair I'm sure my sweetheart & I will be looking over all of the folk who show up in the square. That & I enjoy this app probably more then 'most' would cause of my prior experience with enjoying Animal Crossing City Folk prior.. Seeing as I get to see the folk from the town that I had prior & can post about them too is mostly the other reason. I can't easily do that here there are two seperate sections for that & I feel posting there is a bit unnecessary seeing I'm the only one here who still plays CF every now & again. xp

My guess is that's when the Miiverse comes to the 3DS tbh. Why keep the app around in 2014 if the Miiverse is released by that time? There is none. Atmo, the Wii U is just bridging that gap is what I think. ;3
