Favourite Pokemon Generation?

Pokemon has truly evolved (geddit? ) since Red & Blue.

Favourite Generation?

I like gen 1 the best because it is the game that made the pokemon games.

Gen 2, the games for it are fun, as well as I still liked the looks of the new Pokemon that it had brought out.

Gen 3.
1. It has Hoenn.
2. Hoenn Pokemons are awesome.
3. It introduced Contests and Battle Frontiers.
4. FRLG is a real nice remake!

Gen 2.
I liked how you got to battle more than 8 gym leaders by going back to Kanto. Thought that was really cool

I didn't vote Generation 4, because I didn't particularally like Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. I meant thewy werent terrible, but they werent the best...

Half of Gen IV was Gen II And Platinum was AMAZING

5th: Gen III - I HATE HOEHN! (nuff said')

4th: Gen V - Areas are nice but don't like the Pokemon much.

3rd: Gen I - It's the first Pokemon game. (nuff said')

2nd: Gen II - Awesome addons the first Pokemon game, and awesome areas. (Going to Kanto added that OMG I remember this place)

1st: Gen IV - I like Gen IV so much because of 5 factors.

1. SS was the first Pokemon game I ever played. (I've put over 200 hours into that game)

2. New awesome Pokemon from Sinnoh!

3. Very nice graphics on both games.

5. The fact that you can play retro songs on one of the Key Items.

GEN IV IS A BEAST.

Generation 2 was my personal favourite. While I played the first generation games first (oh the irony!), I felt that Pokemon G/S/C pretty much perfected the series right from that point of perfecting that battle system, adding new Pokemon (a lot of which I like), and the addition of new, memorable areas.

Additionally, the appearance of Kanto (no matter how cropped out it was) was always welcoming!

I'd say Gen I just because of the nostalgia value that it holds for me. But I also liked many of the new Pokemon in Gen II.

Generation 3 is best. Hands down. Hoenn region is BEST REGION in my books.

Reasons why I think the Hoenn region is the best?
- The Region map. There places that I truly like.
- The Pokemon. I truly like the Hoenn's Pokemon design by far than the other regions.
- FR and LG is a nice remake game.
- The Music is so amazing.
- The bad guys, Team Aqua and Team Magma? Pure Amazing.
- Hoenn has a good story Plot.
- Pokemon Emerald was the first game ever I've played.

2. Generation 5 - Pokemon B/W2 (including Pokemon B/W) did a well done factor which qualify this spot. The only problem is the Pokemon.
3. Generation 2 - I like Johto because there are few Pokemon that I like. However, the Region is kinda short but this region. Oh yeah? The Gym Leaders design is pretty interesting.
4. Generation 1 - Nostalgia feel anyone? Team Rocket, the original 8 Gym Leaders? The original 151 Pokemon? Oh yes. Sadly, I didn't play FG/LG or R/B/Y in Kanto region ever. It's sad for me. :/
5. Generation 4 - This is my least favourite Pokemon Generation. However there twist to this Generation. I like the Pokemon, and Plot. In Pokemon D/P was terrible until Pokemon Platinum. The remake was good too. The gameplay feel is too sluggish. The speed is just oh god. Horrible. The Surf speed and bicycle speed was meh, bad.
At least the music makes up for it.

Fifth Gen. I love the Pokémon, plot, region and the characters! <3

I have to go for Gen 5.

Gen 1 is a real close one to me, I love it all, from the pokemon designs, to the nostalgia, even the battle mechanics... and for ages I figured it the two have a close tie. Gen 5 also has all those things, maybe a bit less likeable, but Gen 5 also had the technology, Wifi trading, battling, moving graphics, it was rad!

But what put the icing on the cake for me is that I feel like Gen 5 is like a send off to the series, as now it's going to a new style of 3D, and Pokemon has been 2D for 16 years. When I first saw Gen 5 I saw it as a new start, with its strict 150 new pokemon in the dex and so on, but actually... I was the end!

But that's just my opinion, pal!
