Reggie's VGX appearance includes a world premiere? Update Reggie to discuss Previously Announced Wii U title at VGX Tomorrow

It might be Zelda Wii U after all. I also think it could be a new Smash Bros character, a Cranky Kong trailer, that NFCG or a new Mario Kart 8 trailer.

I don't know. Something in my gut tells me he's going to be announcing a new Metroid title for the Wii U.. Which is what I'm hoping for. Not that I don't love Zelda; I'm hoping its something we haven't heard about is all. xp

It'll wind up being Intellignet Systems' current game is my guess, meaning it will likely be the new Fire Emblem or Paper Mario. (I'm personally hoping it's FE) But if not, maybe it is Zelda Wii U? I like Metroid as well, but I prefer Zelda...so I'd rather him show that off. But who knows, it could just be a new Smash character.

What is this? Announcement of a new game?

Also, I'm curious. Where was this new FE hinted at?

Maybe, just maybe there'll be an announcement of a Fire Emblem for the Wii U, or maybe a Paper Mario Wii U.. OR Zelda U.. Metroid U. OR maybe an announcement of a new Pokepark Wii U title.

Some guy who is part of Intelligent Systems said they are working on a new game for Wii U through Twitter, but never said specifically that it is a new FE game, just that they are working on a game for Wii U. I'll try and find it, and edit my post so I can show you.

I'd like to hear Reggie announce a new YuGiOh Wii U title myself.

^ Lol, well, I'm 99.9% sure that they won't announce a Yu-Gi-Oh game for Wii U. It'll most likely be a new game in one of Nintendo's first party franchises, or something entirely new. But I highly doubt they would announce a third-party exclusive.

Keep in mind that a world premiere could mean showing something new in an upcoming game. So I can't see it being a new FE or Metroid since it sounds like it will be about a game they showed before.

What was he responding to anyway? That tweet seems really confusing to me.

RawmeatCowboy asked Geoff what Nintendo game will be show at VGA and Geoff just said it would be a world premiere to get more people to tune in.

However it is now known that Reggie will show a game that was shown before.

It looks like it will be DKCTF Mario Kart 8 or Smash Bros for Wii U. It might also be B2 or X since those games will target all the hardcore gamers there. That quote makes it sound like it won't be the Wii U Zelda.

Wait, how would Gameinformer know what the game is? They probably just assumed that it was a previously announced game based on what Reggie had said, and posted it online. I still wouldn't be surprised if it were an all-new game we hadn't seen before.

Even if GI is right though, it could technically be Zelda Wii U because we know it exists even if it hasn't been formally announced.

The game that was shown was DKCTF and Cranky Kong was shown to be playable.



Reggie was wearing a Metroid pin though so a new Metroid is likely in the works. I'm kind of they just showed Cranky since I would see Eiji Aonuma or Miyamoto show off the new Zelda game at next years E3. The show was also not that great so Zelda, Mario Kart 8, X and B2 would be better off shown in a Nintendo Direct.

Come on Nintendo. I can't believe Reggie hyped us all up for this and he just showed a new playable character in Donkey Kong Country. It's even worse that we already knew about it due to Amazon leaking the boxart...

And the fact he came in wearing a Metroid pin and showed off DKCTF is baffling.
