Mario Kart 8 has officially sold 1.2 million copies over it's first 3 days available. For comparison, Mario Kart Wii (the third best selling game of all time) only sold 500,000 copies during it's first 3 days. Source I wasn't expecting it to sell that well to be honest, but I do still think it will be the Wii U's best selling game.

Lots of people in the UK bought the Mario Kart 8 bundle. That's good news since not that many people had Wii U's in the UK and I think Mario Kart 8 will put up decent sales numbers for the rest of the year.
