Star Fox Zero

It's rumored Star Fox Zero will be releasing on February 26th.

This makes perfect sense, it's in line with Wii U's past couple years, specifically Tropical Freeze which was delayed in the exact same way as this game. I would prefer earlier in February but it's not a bad day.

Nintendo's hub page for Star Fox Zero lists that it can be played with 1-2 players!

I hope this means either co-op or a 2 player battle mode. It really would be better with a full on multiplayer battle mode, but any form of multiplayer support is a nice addition.

Good to hear it support some kind of multiplayer at least. I don't think it's co-op, it could definitely work when the missions are linear like a lot of Star Fox 64's, but they would have to find a way around split paths wouldn't they? A split screen would be a solution. I think a battle mode is much more likely.

Online multiplayer in some way would given more people a reason to buy the game. $60 for a few hours of gameplay is not really worth it without online.

It would give more people a reason to buy the game. Something like Star Fox Assault's multiplayer with online would be pretty fun. No online isn't a deal breaker for me as I care more about the singleplayer content than multiplayer content most of the time. It's nice to have. I'd be disappointed if this game was about as long as Star Fox Assault because it only had around 10 missions, short but sweet at least.

The game looks so much better now and I'm sure the extra wait will be worth it.

I was expecting a February release, so I'm a little disappointed. (especially considering they said it was Q1 before but that's definitely Q2 :p) But it still looks great and I'm excited to finally get my hands on it.

So April 26th is the release date, sounds good. The game is looking great now, it looks like it controls so smoothly. The delay has been good to it. I hope the extra time it has left in development helps it greatly.

I see there's searchlights similar to the ones in Zoness in Star Fox 64, that was one of my favorite missions so I like how it has something similar.

A lot of French and some other retailers have moved the game's release date to July 15th. While this hasn't been confirmed and could only be for these specific regions, it's possible the game has been delayed. (at least in those regions)

I hope not just because Wii U has literally nothing releasing the first half of the year outside of another Zelda remake that doesn't look nearly as upgraded as Wind Waker HD, and Pokken Tournament which is just a port of an arcade game as it is...Pokken could be pretty huge considering it's Wii U's first Pokemon release, but having it as the only first half game this year would be a huge blow.

I feel like it's not false since Nintendo does not release games in the Summer and French sites are almost never right.

Every time something like this happens, you say "Best Buy's normally wrong about this" or whoever is known for fake leaks.
Nobody is known for this stuff, or typically wrong.

The game could be delayed in France, or Europe as a whole then, though that would be a little odd.

I don't think the gane has been delayed again. They seemed to have been confident enough about the current release date in April and had that as the goal. Unless some large nasty bugs were suddenly discovered and they needed more time or Miyamoto just had some more ideas to add. Or perhaps an online feature that has yet to be revealed is being worked on, but that's just being hopeful. I doubt it has been delayed but if that is confirmed, I'm completely fine with it.

Rumor has it that Star Fox Zero has a huge focus on motion controls, and they are plaguing the game with tons of issues, some still being there even as the game is being sent of for certification.

I really hope this isn't the case, I don't want this to be another Skyward Sword type of situation. The controls in that aren't horrible, but they can be pretty annoying at times. I love motion controls, but if they're going to get in the way of the game's enjoyment I really don't want them there.
