The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing DLC

The DLC is confirmed to have online play, but if even one person in the group you're playing with doesn't own the DLC, nobody will be allowed to choose the DLC tracks. Source

This makes sense, but I guess it will be hard to play the DLC tracks with random people.

Is there a specific section in the online race select for DLC tracks only? Or is it just hope everyone has the DLC tracks to be able to play them?

^ They haven't said yet, but I'm hoping that the update also releasing the day the DLC does will add those options. Otherwise it would certainly be annoying to find people who have the DLC online.

Scratch that, Nintendo has just announced this!

- when you hop online, you'll have the option to either go play the original 32 courses or with all 40 courses
- when you create a tournament, you can select 32 or 40 courses
- you can also select to only play the DLC levels
- everyone has to have the DLC if they want to join your tournament
- you will never come across a situation where someone will get kicked out of a lobby because they don’t have the new content
- those with the DLC will never have any disruption to their experience because other people didn’t get the new courses

GREAT news, exactly what I was hoping for. So you won't have to worry about whether or not some people online have the DLC, you'll be given the option to play with those who don't have it, or those who do. That's perfect, now I'm really excited!

Are you guys excited for the DLC? The Zelda pack releases tomorrow! Can't wait. Even if it'll take 25 minutes to play through all of the new tracks.

This DLC is BRILLIANT!

All the tracks are fun, the karts and bikes are better than most of the regular ones.
Definitely worth the buy!
