Nintendo Trademarks "Virtual Boy" Empty Nintendo Trademarks "Virtual Boy"

Nintendo has officially trademarked "Virtual Boy" in Europe. The reason I'm posting about it is because it seems strange they'd do this...the only thing I think of is that they're planning to bring Virtual Boy games to Virtual Console, which would be pretty cool. (if only for Virtual Boy Wario Land Razz) What do you think they could be doing with the trademark? It could be that they end up not doing anything with it, but it does seem like an interesting time to copyright it.

Maybe Nintendo is going to make their own virtual reality head gear that's upgraded & then sell games that go with it. Like Sony has already.

^ Well, I doubt it, if Nintendo were to do that, why would they name it after they're biggest failure of a game console ever? Razz That doesn't really make good business sense...

I think they just trademarked the name for no reason since they always seem to do that.

It is kind of strange that they trademarked it at this time, it's probably for nothing but it could mean it's being featured in a future game or something. Maybe Virtual Boy games will be on the Europe virtual console.

Probably because they just don't want people making a console named the Virtual Boy and passing it off as a Nintendo one.
