    Maybe it's cancelled?
    It was Iwata's idea, the shareholders and Kimishima may not like it, who knows...

    @Yoshiman
    ME TOO! It's so weird, I never expected to actually be interested in this when they first mentioned it. A health related device from Nintendo didn't sound great, but I do tend to have quite a bit of sleep trouble, this could be helpful.

    @Luma
    Kimishima said he didn't plan to alter any of Iwata's future vision for Nintendo, simply add to it, so it wouldn't be cancelled unless it was already planned to be cancelled in the first place.

    My guess is that the QoL project will be revealed next year along with the NX.

    I don't think something like this would help me sleep better.

    I need a fan to sleep. Without one its pretty much impossible and would make sleeping even worse.

    I find it strange we haven't heard anything new about this in awhile. I'm not interested in it but the QoL could be a good thing. It seems to help with sleep issues, I could use something like that. I always found it strange that Nintendo wants to work on something like this when I first heard about it, though not completely unusual when there's the Wii Balance Board and Wii Fit. Even if we haven't heard anything about it in awhile I don't think they cancelled it. It's said to be out around March 2016 right? I think there is plenty of time to reveal it this year or before March next year. I can see Wii Fit Trainer becoming the mascot for the QoL.

    This is Kimishima's statement regarding QoL:

    In regards to the Quality of Life [device], which was not mentioned in any of today’s questions, we do not have the conviction that the sleep-and-fatigue-themed [device] can enter the phase of actually becoming a product. We no longer have any plans to release it by the end of March 2016. On the other hand, we still believe there are things we can do in the general category of Quality of Life, and we will continue to study the possibility of expanding into this field.

    I'm honestly a little surprised, I kind of expected it to end up releasing. I wasn't initially interested in the device, but after they announced what it was, I was really interested and a little excited. I have a lot of trouble sleeping and I feel like it would have been pretty helpful for me. :/

    It kind of sucks how there throwing away Iwata's idea. I guess Nintendo was just not meant to enter the health business.

    QoL was said to have been halted earlier this year, but it seems development has continued! It's still some sort of sleep device.

    Nintendo is working on the development of a new product that improves people's QOL (Quality of Life) in enjoyable ways. Nintendo's aim is to enable consumers to make daily efforts to improve their QOL in a fun manner by making sleep and fatigue status visible and offering various services based on this information.

    I am legitimately still interested, I have so many sleep problems and I really am curious to see if this could help. I hope it comes sooner rather than later though. Hopefully by next year.

    I'm wandering if it can be used with the NX at all? If they can get QoL to work with Wii Fit NX then Nintendo might be able to make quite a bit off of QoL.

    ^ Yeah I was wondering that too, I feel like it'd be a good opportunity to make the most of it and popularize it more. Maybe it could track your habits while playing and somehow connect them to sleep patterns as well? I feel like I wouldn't want to use that option but it would be interesting.

    I kind of wonder if the sleep system is going to be a wave, or sound machine kind of thing. It's be interesting if I was right. xp

    ^ That could work, it'd definitely be a help in addition to tracking your sleep. I really wish they would fully reveal it so we'd know exactly how this is going to work, because I'm definitely interested if it can really help with sleeping.
