Black Friday

Does anybody have plans to go out somewhere for Black Friday? And what do you think about it in general?

I'm not, yes there are some great deals on Black Friday, but I don't want to risk possible death. >_> The only thing I've bought on Black Friday was a new TV a few years ago. (at least from what I can remember, I may have other times when I had to as a kid)

I would love to if I can get out that day. I kind of need a new laptop so I'd like to get out & find one for el-cheapo. :3

Canada has these huge sales for no reason.
Our Thanksgiving was last month.

Nope since I don't like big crowds of people and I would rather pay full prince then risk death with how crazy people are now.

Welp it looks like I won't be able to make it out tomorrow cause I'm too whipped out from all of the stuff I did over the last couple of days. XD That and my sweetie is super over protective. Jing talking in a slightly bad Heinz Doofensmirtz impersonation: "I'm not over protective: just slightly! Only slightly." *As I take out a chart.* xp

Maybe they're just trying to compete with the US stores? Canada is also part of NA. I have no idea, I guess it's just because it's holiday shopping season.

Yeah, I'm usually fine with the crowds on other days, but on Black Friday it's insane how many people are out.

I believe the recent Canadian sales on Black Friday were a result of the popularity of Black Friday in the US that many Canadians have come to like over the last couple years. Much like what Zero said, it's likely competition, and the fact that a lot of our retail stores in Canada are from the US indeed.

I did go with my family to a mall on that Friday; however, I didn't really buy much on that day other than Pokemon Omega Ruby (which I got earlier on that day). Much too crowded for my likes.

^ Yeah, even outside of possible death, the crowds are annoying to get through, and you'd have to wait in really long lines just to buy whatever it is you want. (even if it's not on sale) So really I'd just prefer to go out another day. Sometimes the deals are even better the week after Black Friday than Black Friday itself, I've noticed.
