Your Rules?

Interesting there's no thread on this already! What are your preferred rules? 

For 1 v 1's I like to play 2 stocks, no items and I tend to choose tournament legal stages but I'm not exclusive to them. 

If it's a 3 man FFA or a 4 man FFA I tend to up the stock to 3-4, still keep the items off and maybe go a little more dynamic with stage choices anyway. (Considering it's hardly a competitive game with 3-4 people)

But I also have an extra unwritten (but programmed) rule that the loser of the round picks the rules for the next! A lot of people assume the host is always controlling the rules, but the game is actually programmed to give the loser the choice of rules. 

It's good to experience how other people play the game sometimes, be times or just having fun with items! So how about you guys? Do you play for fun... or for glory?

Well, I don't really play Smash competitively, so generally, I don't mind what rules we go with if another player wants to play that way.

But honestly, I don't really play stock matches, I enjoy the timed matches, with 3 minutes or more to play. I know I'm a rarity, but I'm just not a fan of stock! I usually keep all items on and all stages on too. As you can tell I just don't Smash competitively at all. xD

Generally when I play I just do two or three stock items that generally aren't insta-kill or just annoyances based on voting of the council I play with, and then just turn off stages that are also pains from the random stage switch. Or I'll do everything on when I get sick of playing by the rules.

I mostly play with all items and stages in stock matches or time matches online. I'm fine playing with any set of rules though.
