    Sony has officially ended first party Vita development. I mean, they already stopped over a year ago but now it's official, I guess. Razz XD Source

    Considering Sony is basically done with handhelds I'm not surprised in the slightest.

    Seeing as the vita hasn't sold as well as the PS4, I'm not surprised by this development either.

    The writing was on the wall and when a system does not sell good numbers the support dies off pretty quick sadly.

    As long as they're still allowing third party I have no problem, I don't even have any first party vita games.

    That's unfortunate for the Vita. Must be disappointing for the fans. I guess they'd rather put more focus on the PS4 now.

    I'm not surprised either, something like this was mentioned before. I heard it wasn't doing too well. Did they really stop over a year ago? Seems strange to wait so long to make it official but maybe new titles were planned at first and it must have been a tough decision.

    At least there's always third party support for it.

    Sony makes first-party games?
    I know they have second-party games.
    Really, the system was heavily overpowered by mobile gaming, and they don't have the IP power that Nintendo has.
