[RUMOR] Bandai-Namco Working on Multiple NX Titles, Including Smash Bros.

According to Dr. Serkan Toto (a twitter user) who has apparently heard from inside sources, Bandai-Namco is currently under way on multiple new titles planned for release on NX. One of these is allegedly some form of Super Smash Bros. It's unknown whether this is a completely new game, port, or spin-off, but it's a game in the series, and is planned for release at NX launch.

Honestly if this is true it makes sense to me. Bandai has supported Nintendo quite a bit in the past, so I don't doubt that they'd be working on more for NX. Even the Smash Bros. at launch seems believable to me, as I've been guessing that they'll make an enchanced port of the Wii U and 3DS versions for NX. If it were to be a completely new Smash then I'd say it's not true but honestly that seems likely to me. (whether this rumor is true or not)

Honestly I'd like it better if it's Ni No Kuni II that Bandai Namco is working on releasing for the NX instead. xp

Smash at launch?
I've heard of this guy, but a launch Smash sounds a bit off, maybe it's a port of the Wii U version?

^ That's what I was thinking. And he did say that he wasn't sure whether it was a completely new game or not, but to his knowledge it is coming at launch.

Well if the rumor is to be believed, then it's possible that is one of them considering he didn't say what the other games were.

Sakurai did say he was working on a new project, perhaps some stuff exclusive to theorized port. Hopefully people with a Wii U and Sm4sh will get a discount.

I can see them adding in the Jce Climbers and Wolf if this is true and then add DLC characters over time. It kind of makes sense that a port is in the works with Sakurai taking it easy for a while though.

I doubt we're getting another Smash Bros at launch. They wouldn't get much time in if that's the case. Even if it is the next project Sakurai is currently working on. It just feels way too early for another. A port, I can see. A spin-off would be pretty cool to be honest.

I believe Namco will develop quite a few NX titles. They helped with Smash Bros, (I think they were involved with Mario Kart 8 as well) I'm sure they're really good pals with Nintendo. They made so many other games for their systems. I think we'll be seeing some original titles from Namco, maybe some Pacman for the NX.

For a launch title, isn't a game that will show off the system's features likely? We don't know what the NX will do but I can see Namco doing something like what Nintendo Land was.

^ Yeah Nintendo does tend to release a game like that on launch day for their consoles, they have for pretty much all of them except the NES. I fully expect them to do the same, but obviously it's not going to be the only first party launch title.
