I figured we should have a thread dedicated to My Nintendo since it's now been confirmed that it will be releasing in March in 39 countries. (of course including the big ones like US, Canada, etc.) Apparently you will be able to collect Platinum Points, which are very similar to the coins from Club Nintendo allowing you to purchase rewards, and Gold Points, which will let you get discounts on eShop items. It will include a point program, coupons, e-mails, web DLs, expanding to friend list, cloud data, in-store, and more in the future.

This all sounds amazing! MUCH better than Club Nintendo, I'm happy.

I wonder what day in March it'll launch? Cause if it's March 25th, then Happy Birthday to me.

Sounds just like Club Nintendo, except instead of 1 currency, there's 2.
But of course bigger.

And of course I'll be getting it when it comes out.

^ Really the reason I like it more is because you can earn points just by playing games. I'm hoping the rewards for platinum points are pretty good though or I'll be disappointed they spent so much time on it instead of keeping Club Nintendo.

I'm excited to finally try out Club Nintendo's replacement in March. It sounds like quite the improvement from those details. What kind of expansions could they make to the friend list? I'm interested to know.

It seems like platinum points are for themes and other small things. While gold points can be used for eShop discounts.

I guess the gold points will be given out when you buy games and the platinum points are for playing games.

Love the new idea. I can see myself using Platnium points to get myself some themes.

only problem is i want full games not discounts lol

Registration for a Nintendo Account is up now here, people are having trouble getting in but it is officially up.

I haven't gotten in yet but still trying!

I can't even load the page right now and you think Nintendo would have said it was live in some way.

I was notified just now I got in easy peasy lol. Guess it's good to go? Can't for the first thing we get to do with these.

Just registered today & I got in fairly easily too. Still, I'm ready to roll with what ever comes my way.

I registered two days ago. It was quick and easy. All ready for what the Nintendo Account has in store when it is ready.

Does anyone know when My Nintendo comes out fully?

^ I don't think they've announced it yet, although I'm not certain. It's sometime in March but they didn't say what the exact date was. If that leak is anything to go by it might be towards the end of the month.
