Nessness' Random Video Game Music



This thread will be a new thing I will be doing in my blog, replacing the Talks and Plays I did a while ago. Basically, I will introduce a random video game music here, and explain why I like the music. There is no specified schedule of when I will upload this since I am busy.

#001: Harvest Moon: Back to Nature - Town Theme



Harvest Moon series can be explained by a simple word- 'farming simulator'. The town theme captures this perfectly- it both sounds like a farming song and a town song. Farming would be very fun if you were hearing this while farming.

Harvest Moon has some really nice music and it gives you that feeling like your at a regular farm.

#002: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - Catfish's Maw



Catfish's Maw is the fifth dungeon in this game, and it is this point where the enemies get stronger and the dungeon layout becomes more confusing. So the composers decided to make a pretty menacing theme to fit this rise in difficulty. This is pretty meaningful, as first four dungeons' themes were just remixes of the cave theme, and they all sound much less dangerous than the Catfish's Maw theme.

One of the many great songs in the Legend of Zelda series.
