Wii Mini

It was probably made with children in mind, with the WiiU out Wii games will drop and people can pick this up and plenty of games with it. In that sense it wouldn't need features like online and a SDCard slot.

It's not the best idea for more hardcore gamers, but for their family market I can see it being ideal.

The Wii Mini has been spotted on the Nintendo UK site, as well as multiple other areas. This means it might be coming to places other than just Canada.

I can't make heads or tails of that... With the Wii U out... and preowned Wiis at £20... who in the right mind would pay a higher price for a butchered Wii?

They're just trying to squeeze out all the money they can possibly get for the Wii is all.

But, it seems pointless since they probably won't make a much of a profit.

I'm sure they won't...but some people still may buy it, you never know.

... well, we may not know... but we can get a bloody good idea! and it's looking way to slim for them to even bother... Hardcore fans might get it, and the slim people without a Wii...

But no where near enough to make a real profit, unless it's a limited edition or something...

Well the newer Wiis before Wii Mini didn't support GCN games either. But I agree with you on the WiFi part, since so many Wii games use it.

I've yet to see this "can't support GameCube" version, does it have the memory card ports taken off it or something?

It's the Wii Family Edition, which I think released sometime in 2009 or 2010.
