No, I do not own this game.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a game originally released for Nintendo Gamecube (as well as on Wii with the New Play Control thing) The game basically uses the Donkey bongos peripheral to control, which seems a bit odd, but I've heard it controls well.

From what I've seen, it looks cool, you can definitely see some things that later evolved into Super Mario Galaxy (the same team that developed Galaxy also developed this!) such as the flowers that you spin across, there are a lot of mechanics also used in Galaxy if you've played or watched the game.

I think it'd be cool to play this, not on my list of games to buy, but if I do come across it for a cheap price...well, I mean I suppose I'll get it.

I played this game, it was a fun Donkey Kong game. I still have this game along with two DK Bongos, but the disc can not be read unfortunately. The sound of me pounding the Bongos used to anger my family. The Boss battles were very entertaining, creative, and intense. It really sticks out from the others in the DK series.

I have not tried the Wii remake though.

Well it makes sense they would remake it for Wii as you can pound the Wiimote and nunchuck like the bongos, but watching the game, it looks like it'd be way more fun to pound those bongos and destroy the bosses and enemies with that.

Also, I was wondering, how does clapping work in this game? Speakers in the bongos or something?
